Well, there was profiling which is good. Better than last week, I think. There were some nice shooting angles for the hair. Oh, and I liked how when they went on raid the first thing we saw coming out of the car were Reid's mismatching socks!

hmmm, seen the disenfranchised youths killing families before- like the foster kids and that Bosnian chick. Plus the same ol' no suspense cuz we see the unsub early. The whole premise that a politician would use murder for financial gains seems a bit too preposterous to me. Kinda felt like a filler but Reid looked good while filling in.

I'm so tired right now that I really can't comment too much on this episode. I've been working a few extra hours at work plus my windows and balcony door were replaced in my apartment this week. My place is upside down right now as I slowly clean everything and put it all back in place. I've seen the episode a couple of times now and for the life of me I cannot right now remember much about it, basically because my brain and body is fried. The only comments I can make on this weeks episode is that I remember when watching it I thought it was decent. A little yay! for having to wait a whole 15 minutes before seeing the unsub (at least it was not before the opening credits) but a big BOO! for another Garcia info dump near the end. |

I actually enjoyed it despite some nitpicks. Due to the excitement of the kitten arrivals I completely forgot about the episode so I had to download it from online. Some people pointed out that there was a liberal slant to it. I didn't see it as too big of an issue. The only thing on the slant that bugged me was the use of the term "undocumented immigrant". Its not a term that someone in federal law enforcement would actually use. I wish that the unsub had not died at the end because then the illegal immigrant victim who survived would have been able to testify against him and that would get him in better standing so he would be less likely to be deported. Also it sucked for his invalid mother who no longer had someone to take care of her. I really felt badly for the illegal immigrant victim when he mentioned that he's a recovering addict. I sort of wish they had worked in just one shot of Reid reacting to that information, since he could relate. Someone being drugged against his will would probably be a trigger point for Reid. This was brought up on a few other forums, but is anyone here seeing problems with the color and contrast? Dark scenes harder to see? Unnaturally pink or purple lips on the men? Orange tone to Rossi's skin? The color in the video I saw was absolutely terrible. I don't know if it was because it wasn't HD and the loss of quality when converted was just that bad or if they seriously need to work on the color correction in post because of the way the new RED camera films things. People were commenting about Thomas Gibson looking emaciated and then I found out that they use a new camera which picks up extreme detail and requires different lighting and I think the light is hitting his face in such a way that it is making him look more angular than he did in the past. The image is so sharp it is making his face look sharp. I've heard that on new HDTVs the colors look ok, but on older tvs or ones that have not been tweaked enough, the colors look horrible. |
