ooooooh, Matthew and spookiness goes together like ham and cheese, like Abbott and Costello, like ice cream and cake!!!
hopefully, there will be less unsub-centric eps coming up so it won't be so repetitive.

Betty White would be an awesome unsub. There were several things that didn't make sense in this episode. The actor who played DC's friend seemed like a caricature instead of a real person. The wife's accent was really fake and bad. The wife and friend lacked emotion in some ways. They just didn't work for me. I kept thinking the friend would turn out to be a hallucination. Rossi taking off his vest was somewhat dumb, but I get that if he wore a vest the guy wouldn't buy that he was sacrificing himself. Reid playing poker was entertaining. I liked how softly he spoke when he asked the girl if he could move tables because of his eyes and the girl was smiling and seemed to like him.

The unsub had blood on him and nobody noticed. He left bloody fingerprints on a machine. His friend knew he was linked to pretty much all of the people who were killed. That dialog was really a bit much though. I don't like knowing who the unsub is right from the beginning.

I agree that the team should have been able to find the guy sooner. Quite frankly, the Organized Crime Unit should have been brought in instead of the BAU.

I thought it was a bit unrealistic that the security would throw Reid out like that without an explanation. Especially without letting him get his chips. I wonder if Rossi ever got his money back. It was completely sloppy to not have had the place surrounded just in case and the guy got away too easily. Reid clicking the alert thing in view was stupid. They could have had him keep it in his pocket and click it and have the unsub notice a light inside the pocket. Or they could have had some other reason for him to flee. It was a lame plot device to make it so Reid clicked the thing visibly rather than subtly in his pocket.

I also didn't buy that Reid had been banned from other casinos for counting cards. Reid is smart and would have known just how far he could push it without getting caught. And to be honest, he seemed to prefer playing on the machines anyway because they had "no brains, no bias".

Here's a clip of the poker scene:
