Snork!!! Huh, oh!
Hmmmm, that one was a bit of a snooze. No suspense since the unsub shows up right away and it was pretty predictable all the way through. The Mom could have been more of a fighter. It bugged me that she seemed so passive. If someone was holding me back from my child, I would be twisting all parts of his anatomy in a knot and then some!!
It kinda made me sad because it closely mirrored a real-life case in Northern CA where a 10 year old was kidnapped and the psycho fathered two girls from her when she was like 14,15. They were rescued tho.
It was a nice showcase for Garcia altho she's been written by so many different writers as either being super-sassy/strong to being fragile/can't even bear to look at bloody pictures. That makes her look like she has major mood swings.
The best part was Reid's hair going major boybandish. It was looking rather ummm, wooly??? :D

Yeah! The hair WAS better! Though short.
I was too impressed by this one either. The mom finding her child like that was just gross. :gah:

I found it funny that Reid was chewing a gum and Morgan called him Dr Reid on raid.

Late to comment. My schedule at work has changed and I find it exhausting so far. Hopefully I will get used to it soon. My kitty is not happy about it at all.
The positives: Reid looked great this episode. He was so confident and assertive near the end. I love that he is no longer stuck back at the station, or in this episode the BAU, while the others go out to catch the unsub.
The negatives: I really got my hopes up at the beginning when we only saw the unsubs hand on Monica's shoulder. I thought Yay! this episode was going to be one that we didn't see the unsub right away. My hopes were dashed a minute later. A major negative: Garcia. I really miss the earlier version of Garcia. I think the character has regressed so much. Sure she was icked out at the gross things early on but she had some backbone back then and toughed it out. Now she seems all wimpy and whiny and relies too much on Morgan to make her feel better. I thought it was ridiculous for J.J to let Garcia go into the unsub's home to talk to him. At the least she should have gone in with her.
As for the story itself, I think I would have enjoyed this episode if it had been about any of the other characters instead of Garcia.

Hope it gets better for you at work, Mirri! :bighug: :bighug:
I also wondered how is Kevin taking it when Garcia always turns to Morgan for comfort.
What is he... chopped liver to her???

Thanks BABruin! :bighug: :bighug:
Yeah I wonder about Kevin as well. The last episode of last year they were talking about moving to a farm. I've heard no mention about it so far this year.

I forgot to comment on this one. It wasn't the worst but it wasn't my favorite. I wasn't really paying attention to it when it aired. As soon as I saw the hand on monica's shoulder I said "There's the unsub!" and I too was hopeful that they would keep him hidden. Unfortunatelly they had him come out and lure the mother along. *sigh*
So at that point I found my computer more interesting and only caught bits and pieces of the show. I wanted to smack Reid and make him spit the gum out. Gum chewing on a raid is not good. People have complained about the plot, but I really didn't care enough about the episode or anyone in it to really focus on it. I do admit there was a bit of suspense waiting for her to find out the daughter was dead bc I was sure the daughter was dead.
