I was wondering why Morgan didn't say anything about his cousin when all those people went missing in Detroit in that To Hell and Back episode.
And that teenage boy was such a wuss. He had so many chances to stab the unsub, kick him where the sun don't shine, and get away!!! Notthisagain

Well he did come down hard on the Detroit detective when she showed up at the farm, even though Morgan was a cop once and can understand not having enough man power. I guess we can fan wank that his cousin was the reason. It would have been nice though if there was some kind of mention of his aunt and cousin in the last episode or the episode before that.
I have to say that while I like Morgan I have never been a big fan of these personal Morgan centric episodes. For a personal Morgan episode I thought this was pretty good. For a regular CM episode it was just ok. Nothing really good but nothing really bad. It was nice to see Hotch without a jacket and tie. Poor Matthew seemed to be squinting quite a bit during the scenes at the beach. Jim Clemente (? the former profiler and co-writer of this episode) made a uncredited cameo so I want to re-watch and try to find him. Due to a recent real life case that's in the news in my area I was bothered a bit at the end when Morgan lied to his aunt about the unsub ID'ing his cousin and also her relief about it.

yeah that that part about Derek and his aunt bothered me too. It seemed unethical to lie even to stop her obsessing about her daughter. If the real truth ever comes out, the aunt wouldn't trust him again unless she really understood his need to protect her.

Well, technically Morgan didn't lie. The guy DID claim her as one of his victims. Morgan just failed to mention to her that he knew the guy was lying.

I know its a gray area, but if it finally brought the aunt peace, maybe it was worth it. There was some form of closure for her. I mean, the guy who probably did kill the cousin was dead so there was no other way for closure (other than the cousin turning up alive or her body being found).
