not bad, this one held my interest and it had a couple of twists. Hotch fans should be happy that there was some nice Hotch scenes with his son and they are spending quality time together.
As for quality time with Reid, well, not so much altho we get some nice dead women profiling and a sleeping Reid on plane. Is the whole headache mystery thing over????????? I'm not even sure how that was resolved?????????
This must be the episode he was filming when he tweeted his doddling on the clear board about the dead woman. :D
The hair was cute but I guess we are now looking at a season with no mgghair .
Oh well, there's always next year. crossfingers crossfingers crossfingers crossfingers crossfingers

yeah that I was positively surprised!
Reid profiling the dead one and his raport on that was amusing! :D
In the beginning I was delighted because there was quite a lot Reid but they used him less towards the end as usual. Posted Image
But it's always nice to see him sneaking with a gun.

I thought it was odd that they turned on the sirens-- thus alerting the unsub they were coming. I did like the visual of Hotch shooting the guy underwater-- even though I think that it wouldn't quite work that way. And wtf happened to Reid at the end?
I didn't like that Seaver barked an order at Hotch (she yelled into the radio something like "Hotch, cut him off!") and that she was acting like more of a seasoned agent than Reid at some points. She doesn't yet have the experience to be interviewing people solo or going out on raids like that...

The fact that it was a completely new writer makes me want to cut them a bit of slack though.

Overall I enjoyed this episode, even if I have mixed feelings about Jack. On one hand I love how Hotch interacts with Jack but on the other the child strikes me as mentally slow. I realize he's a kid but he won't be winning any acting awards. He almost always has the same bland/clueless look on his face. My cousin's 3-year-old showed more personality and intelligence.

But its hard to find child actors that can actually act so I can overlook that.

I agree, that's twice they sounded the sirens and the unsubs slipped away. Notthisagain
That makes them look soooo unprofessional. Notthisagain
The writers use it as a plot device to extend capturing the bad guys but it is still a dumb move.

I have to say that I didn't think this episode was all that great. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. IMO it is the weakest episode so far post Christmas break. While I thought the soccer scenes were cute both Hotch and Rossi don't have the time to be coaches. My sister has coached her daughter's team and it is not just a weekend thing. They have practices and games after school and in the evenings as well.
Rossi did a disappearing act at the hospital. He was there when Reid was profiling the victim but he is not when Hotch and Reid try to question the victim. At first I just thought that he was on the outside looking in until Rossi and Hotch are at the station with Hotch telling Rossi what the victim said. Perhaps he had to go to the bathroom?
I thought Morgan running after a speeding car was kind of funny but not really in a good way. We know Morgan is the action guy of the team but now he can run as fast as a speeding car?
Loved Reid saying that there were 54 photos after Morgan told Hotch there was 30-40 photos. I also loved that Reid put back whatever it was that Morgan picked up at Talbot's house back to it's proper place.
I also liked that the team didn't catch on that Talbot was indeed involved somehow. I like that they are not always perfect.
So overall a meh episode for me. I guess a decent first episode for a new writer. I really should watch it again perhaps I will like it better on second viewing.
