Title: Coda

Director: Rob Hardy

Writer: Rick Dunkle

Airdate: February 23, 2011

Synopsis: Reid makes a connection with an autistic child that could assist the BAU in finding the boy's missing parents. Also, Prentiss enlists two former Interpol colleagues in hunting an old nemesis.

Guest Stars include Sebastian Roché ("General Hospital," "Fringe") as Clyde Easter, one of Prentiss' former colleagues; Jessica Lundy ("Hope & Gloria") as missing parent Alison Sparks; Mimi Kennedy ("Dharma & Greg," "Homefront") as teacher Miss Rogers; and Romy Rosemont ("Glee," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation") as Lizzie Sparks, the young boy's estranged aunt.

I wonder if the writers will ignore continuity and reveal that Reid was autistic as a child or something stupid like that.

Wow, this one sounds like a really really good Reid-centric one esp. since it is written by Rick D.

But if I hopefully tape it correctly, I won't be able to see and review it til probably Sunday night.
So, enjoy the show, y'all and I can't wait to hear what you all have to say about it!!
Hopefully you will all give it a super-duper thumb up thumb up thumb up thumb up thumb up thumb up !!!!!!!

So Reid's back in coffee! And apparently the head ache story is not over since he was carrying a book about migraine.
I liked how the episode began and the suspense stayed for a while. Then the thing with unsub was revealed too quickly. More Reid then last week which is always a plus. thumb up
I also like the mystery of "L"s with the boy. The piano scene with Reid was interesting too. I wonder if it's really possible to communicate with an autistic person like that.
So all in all not bad, not bad!

I'm working on a more in-depth review but a few thoughts: Apparently Coda totally stomped almost every other show in the ratings.
I loved that the Migraine book Reid had said "Comprehensive Clinical Studies 2004-2008". Leave it to him to read a book on clinical studies. Heh.
I couldn't figure out why the boy didn't draw a circle around the hands on the clock he kept drawing to indicate time... I was confused as to whether 3 pm was the time his parents were kidnapped or the time he first saw the man that kidnapped them.

The motivations for the kidnapper didn't really seem believable.

Was I the only one who thought Prentiss and her former teammates were speaking far too loudly for a private/secret conversation like that? Everyone could overhear them. They could have spoken in softer tones or something.

At the end I kept wishing Prentiss would just shoot the guy but then it dawned on me that he probably has people working for him that are spying on the team members and keeping watch on them. Snipers or something.

When he said that Reid had some quirks I wanted them to go in to more detail.

Is Coda worth watching? Yes. The child was never harmed and there were some cute moments with Hotch & Jack and Reid and the autistic boy.
All of my friends who bothered to watch the spinoff said it sucked. I turn the TV off as soon as it starts to come on.
