here's a promo pic![]() Looking dapper there. I like it better when the hair is laying down flat and not standing up.

There's another nice promo pic of him standing next to Morgan and holding up a photograph. I think he's comparing the scenery to the photo. Someone was joking that Morgan and Reid were trying to choose a proper venue for their wedding. |

Apparently I'm the first one to watch it or at least to comment. Hammering a knee, yikes! That was a real diaet therapist from hell. But I somehow liked the psycho. Not a special one but ok. Not enough Reid. Prentsiss storyline is revealed a bit by bit, maybe they are still thinking if they write her out for good or not. Reid looked like a professor when he was wearing that sweater and sitting behind the desk. ![]() |

I noticed in some scenes the purple under Reid's eyes was much more prominent (almost like he'd been rubbing the bridge of his nose) and while his hair seemed more groomed when he first showed up, it started to look really messed up later on. It looked too much like someone had done it deliberately though. I wonder if Reid has been massaging his own scalp trying to get rid of headaches. I was almost yelling at Prentiss to just tell the team about the danger and have that bad guy's picture splashed all over the FBI building so they would know to watch out for him. Just say that there was a case she was involved with earlier in her career and the guy escaped from prison and was taking out people who were involved in it. Then show everyone his photo and say "stay away". OR they could arrest him. He is one man.. Unless he has a ton of help or something he can be stopped. She could have had Garcia check the phone records to try to identify the "unknown caller" to at least get an idea of a location. I wonder how much Reid heard of the conversation when he first walked in. I loved his tone when he said "I'm so sorry" about her "friend" dying. And then later when she went to answer her phone and walked out of the room, Reid noticed she was distancing herself and said nothing. Then we see her hang up and Reid is looking at her through the window. Here's a thought: Reid has eidetic memory and seems to have been able to learn a few foreign languages since the show started; do you think he learned how to read lips? I need to re-watch to see if he looked away after Emily looked back at him. I was thinking either he heard some of what she was saying or was able to read her lips. Something about the way he was looking at her just signals to me that he knows something is up but he is not going to press her. He could approach her and tell her that he's sorry about her friend that died and that if she wants to talk he's there, or if she just wants someone to sit with her and keep her company or something he's there. I'd love to see him offer her a hug or something, but the way the writers have been lately I don't know if that would happen. I'm going to watch the episode again and give more thoughts later. |

Hmmmmm, Misery loves company. This unsub looked like an updated Kathy Bates with the hammer hobbling. She was a nightmare of a best friend/houseguest from hell. Not much profiling to do as soon as the personalities of the victims matched up. Couldn't Garcia had found medical records of the girls faster than waiting for the fathers to cough up the info?????? She always had fantastic snooping powers before. Not that much humor as last week which would have helped the plot but the funniest line was at least a shout-out to the genius mind of Reid ( I read 22 self-help books today). As for Seaver, I just ignore her. Since the ratings has not dropped, CBS will continue to feel justified that any blonde cutie is good enough to plug into the team. To have an ingenue team member join an supposedly "elite" team is so degrading to me, I choose to ignore the whole situation. Network execs pander to viewers on the level of 12 year olds, anyway. So what's next CBS???? Criminal Minds, the Swimsuit Edition??

I thought it was a decent episode, not great but not bad either. I was extremely tired last night and had to force myself to stay awake to watch. I guess I did not do a very good job of it and must have dosed off as I completely missed the part about Reid reading 22 self-help books. Must re-watch tonight. |

I'm going to re-watch later. I'm exhausted after a busy day of running errands and carrying heavy stuff. Someone on the IMDB made me laugh really hard by referring to the unsub in this one as "Orca the Babbling Narcissist" and making fun of how the bad guy had a limo waiting at the end. |

I hope you had a good sleep suceress. I re-watched the episode and noticed that in a couple of scenes that Reid's voice was a bit hoarse, did anyone else notice it as well or was it just my imagination? I wonder if MGG had a cold or was his voice just hoarse after his NYE weekend (I believe this ep was shot right after the new year). Or perhaps it was just my hearing. I thought the guest cast was good but that there was too much focus on them. If I didn't see his name in the credits I don't think I would have recognized Corbin Bernsen. I haven't been to his facebook but apparently he complained about some of his scenes being cut. No offense to him but unless Reid was in one of those scenes I really don't mind that his scenes were cut. I did recognize Rachel Miner, the actress who played Molly. She used to be in the soap Guiding Light when she was a teenager. It was good to see her again. I find that they are relying too much on Garcia and her computers to find who the unsub is. What is it now, 3 episodes in a row that her and her computer have found them? Granted the profilers are the ones asking to look the info up but still it would be nice to see the profilers figure it out a bit more often again. |

I agree, Mirri. I know they did use Garcia in the past seasons to track down unsubs, but usually they would come up with a collection of people and the team would then look at the profile of the person and narrow it down. I liked when they sometimes had already met the suspect and had a pool of suspects from which to choose. I'm still trying to get up enough energy to watch the episode again. I'm just sleepy right now. |
