LOL. It cracks me up when people say she is too young for him. We're talking about a guy who loves Disney movies, going to DisneyLand/DisneyWorld, wears child's pajamas, sleeps in a tent, and has stuffed animals!! :P The bowling reminded me of when my brother and I used to go bowling with his friends. One of our friends, Casper, used to curtsy when he rolled the ball. And George used to be able to put the ball down very smoothly. I pretty much sucked at bowling since I have carpal tunnel syndrome and terrible aim. But it was still fun. |

Sorry ladies, I don't think that's the point! In fact, I'm 37 but... I do love Disney movies and I like comics very much, I adore amusement parks in general and my place was full of stuffed animals even before the birth of my children... I know I'll still like all that stuff after turning forty and I'm pretty sure that MGG will like those things when he will be seventy... I think she is too young for him just because at their age 10 years are a lot! He has already done a lot of experiences as an adult. She hasn't and I think that this kind of difference could be dangerous for a relationship; I think that if she would be 27/28 and he would be 38 those 10 years wouldn't be a problem anymore . (I would be jealous in any case, but this is another story... )Edited by imnottoobad, Jan 14 2011, 12:24 PM.

I know of marriages with greater age gaps that lasted. There's this one woman I know who got married at 14 and I think her husband was 27. They stayed happily married until his accidental death about 10 years ago. They have grandchildren and great grandchildren so they were married for a long time. It's pretty common for older guys to marry young girls around here. Whatever is going on between them, Matthew sure seems happy and that is what's important. |

Well, yeah my mom and dad had 10 years difference, their marriage lasted 52 years until my dad died, and I have to say I have NEVER seen a happier couple. They were just wonderful together, and I am so very lucky that I had a great childhood, from the love and care point dof view. So... |
