Wow, they're shooting the epi that introduces the spin-off team already.
The one bad thing about spin-offs is whether it will take away good writers to work on the spin-off.
bitenails It's kinda like diluting the gene pool. :gah:
I don't want to be nasty, but considering the whole 5th season I don't think there will be much to dilute.... vamp

Now that Matthew's knee is better I hope the episodes will pick up. They will be able to have more Reid. :-)

I have found that it is usually very difficult for writers of average intelligence to write for characters of high intelligence. They don't know what it is like to have that level of intelligence so they can't think of all the things the character would. It ends up making the character look stupid. Especially when you have some fans who have higher intelligence (or pay more attention to plot holes) and notice things that aren't right. I wouldn't call myself a genius but I was in the "gifted" programs and have an IQ high enough to be in MENSA. Even still, Reid's IQ is 41 points higher than mine. You wouldn't think that 40 or so points would make such a big difference, but I know someone with an IQ of 100 and she seems dumb as a sack of rocks to me.
I really think they sometimes need more people to say "Does this make sense for an intelligent character to do this?"
I used to write fanfictions but I stopped because I don't finish them. I am a perfectionist and I am never happy with what i have. I always want to try different possibilities and I can't use them all.

Chris Mundy is writing the spin-off and if he leaves to go work for them, I'll  .
I just hope they won't leave CM with guest and novice writers. crossfingers crossfingers crossfingers
It'll ruin the continuity. bitenails

146 actually. 120 is not bad. Its higher than Jessica Simpson's IQ. My dad's IQ was 148 and my sister's is 152.

I do hope Chris Mundy still gets to write for CM. He does some of the best Reid stories. He really likes Matthew. I wonder if Matthew will get to guest star on the spinoff from time to time. Only problem with crossovers among original and spinoff shows is that someone is always written as out of character.

I really wish that they would have a book somewhere that listed all of the things in continuity that all of the writers have to read so they know what has already been established and make sure they don't contradict it. Fans tend to keep better track of continuity than the writers/editors it seems.

I remember in the comic books a writer used a character that had been killed off in another series. Only they didn't take note and the writer didn't know the character was dead. Also, a writer was using a character and another writer killed the character off in another series before the first writer's story finished. Editors were not doing their jobs well on that.

By the way, is anyone else having problems with Facebook? It has been loading very slow or just giving me Bad Response from Server messages. I can't get Farmville, Yoville, Cafe World, or Farm Town to work properly..
