thanks for the cute links. I kept thinking that Kate (the NY FBI agent with the posh accent in Mayhem)came back from the dead to interview him! It sure sounded like her! I was about ready to stone her when she preferred the short hair. No, must encourage him to grow it out!!! Chantou, basically, he said although the show is dark, the crew makes it fun. He thought Reid's hair should be long to be esoteric but after going through some life changes, he cut it. (But hey, it's time to go through some more changes!!! )He explained that the Gubies were jokes based on awarding behavior that we're not proud of since they didn't get any real awards. Shemar got a gold-plated clock for always being late to set. |

I will attempt a transcript. It will not be perfect. BWI will represent British Woman Interviewer and MGG will represent Matthew (obviously). BWI : So you play Dr. Spencer Reid... Do you find slipping in to the social awkwardness quite easy now? MGG : I never slipped out of it to become him, so that's one thing that's remain-- that's the one part of the acting that is not acting. So tha- that part's the easy- the easiest of it. BWI : The long hair an expression of rebellion? MGG : It was a little bit, and I thought-- again I always saw him initially as a long-haired character, merely because I wanted him to be more of like an esoteric uh like Oscar Wilde type. And so I grew it long and then I thought after some change-- life-changing things that he went through on the show he might cut it to purge himself from the darkness. But I might--- what do you prefer? BWI : Ah, I think this suits you best. MGG : Oh really? Aw then I'll keep this. BWI : Also, em, I've noticed your socks a few times. MGG : Oh yeah. BWI : You've been photographed as being-- odd socks. (MGG laughs) One red one blue or are we together today? MGG : (lifts up each foot to show socks) Oh they're never-- BWI : See they're not. Your socks-- MGG : They're never-- never matching-- BWI : What's this about? (note: MGG and BWI were speaking at the same time so it was hard to tell what each of them were saying) MGG : I uh- I- I- In my head for some reason when I was little my grandmother told me it was good luck to wear mismatching socks, so I always try to prescribe to that belief. BWI : You bring quite a lot of fun to the- to the show-- MGG : Oh thank you. BWI : And em, obviously Criminal Minds can be a bit dark, do you find that quite emotionally difficult to deal with? MGG : Yeah, it really is. It starts to drive you insane after awhile, but uhm luckily we- we've got a very funny crew and cast so we- we have so much fun when the cameras aren't rolling that it reverses the- the negativity. (laughs) BWI : And also, I've heard that you bring quite a lot of fun behind the scenes as well. MGG : Oh-- BWI : Tell us about the Goobies. MGG : (excitedly) Oh yeah the Goobies! Yeah! Thanks for asking (laughs). It's-- It's basically an offensive award show. Someone was very sad -- in America there's like award ceremonies, which I don't really think are-- I don't-- I'm not into awarding art (takes in a loud breath) but um they're sad because we weren't nominated. So I created as a joke-- I said 'Well we're nominated for 20 Goobie awards" and they're basically like embarrassing awards that you wouldn't want to win, but for some reason people are always trying to-- they-- they're like "I wanna win the ugliest facial hair award this year. I wanna win the my wife is much more beautiful than me award"-- it's a sort of a funny-- funny little things to like, make fun ourselves. I presented Shemar Moore with-- he's exceptionally late all the time, so we gave him a solid gold painted alarm clock; and he won the lifetime achievement- an actor consistently late to work award. (laughs) BWI : Not something to be proud of. MGG : Ya. He is proud of it, he has it on his mantle. He doesn't use it though, so uh, the clock was not- not well received. And that was it. Sorry for any typos or anything I missed. Matthew should get a Goobie for using "prescribe" instead of "subscribe". LOL. Here is the transcription for the Quickfire questions Beach or City?: "City" Blonde or Brunette?: "Brunette" Chauffeur Driven or Own Wheels?: "Sorry, say that again? Oh, driving always, myself. I love to drive" Tequila or Jager?: "Whiskey" Bikini or One Piece?: "uh, 1920s, uh, full length, uh, no ankle- nothing, just a wetsuit." Diet or Exercise?: "um, mmmmmm, neither." Chocolate or Wine?: "Both at the same time." Work or Play?: "uh, work is play." Big White Wedding or Elope?: "Uh, Antelope." Boardshorts or Speedos?: "Me, right now, Speedos. Wanna see? Just joking!" Looks or Laughter?: "Oh L-Laughter. A hundred percent." Celebrity Party or Old Man's Pub?: "Uh, a bathtub at home alone." Red Carpet Tux or PJs On The Sofa?: "PJs on the red carpet." Movies or a Gig?: "uhm, Movies." Kids or Pets?: "Kids." London or LA?: "London." (Interviewer interjects "Oh, you had to say that") "One hundred percent, London. No, I genuinely-- London" (giggles) Edited by suceress, Oct 27 2011, 04:31 AM.

Vernon Cheek (publicist for CBS) posted some behind-the-scenes pictures taken on Oct. 25. Some kids from the Make-A-Wish Foundation were visiting. ![]() I think the chick in this picture is a hostess of another CBS show. Someone said The Insider or something like that.
