19:33:04 [Davion_Elethar] It was a crisp, cool night on the French countryside, where the moon, full as the ocean, shone down radiant light upon the hillsides. Much too nice of a night to spend indoors, far far too nice. So, with a slow and leisurely pace, Davion walked down a path, secluded from the city lights by trees and shrubery. He was wearing a new pair of jeans, along with a black T under his lime green button up long sleeve shirt, to which the sleeves were rolled halfway up his forearm. Whistling some new tune he just heard at a club he visited, the young man walked forth, not really sure if any of his kind did call home to the city of Marsaille. Oh bene, può sempre tornare indietro e verificare Atene, una volta di più. He thought, to himself as he tucked both hands into his pocket. 19:43:14 Assana stood upon a bridge, watching the moonlight reflect in small ripples off the surface of the water below. It was a calm night, a perfect night. She was dressed, yet again in white, for it seemed to be her favorite color, but this time it was accented with creams and golds. A red flower pressed against her hair, the stem curling over her ear to hold it in place. It was loose enough toc ome off in one sneeze, but she was careful not to cause that to happen. She leaned forward against the railing, resting her elbows and forarms against it. She closed her eyes, breathing in the sweet fragrence of the air. She could smell the moisture in the air, and hoped perhaps, that it might rain. She loved rain the best, and it was always her favorite time. Because when the rain stopped, and the light came out, it was like a rianbow of color, just for you. Okay, now i'm really starting to be a sap. I need to stop reading stuff like this. Enter. 19:57:04 Davion_Elethar continued with his walk. To circle the park, in all, it would take about one hour... at a normal pace, but with Davion's current cruising speed, one could stretch that time from anywhere to three hours. However, the man kept himself busy by observing every detail about the place, wondering why he had yet to find anything in France that he would consider useful. With ever busy thoughts, Davion let the skies move with a vigor, around him rest assured, as he started approaching the end of the treeline. Everything around him became seemingly wind swept as he had the Winds sway the canopy to his liking... the melody of the current tune being whistled. Why be cautious when there is seemingly no one else around, eh? 20:02:59 Assana slipped out of her sandals, letting the wooden bridge touch against the soft soles of her feet. She wiggled her toes, feeling the coldness of the bridge permeate through her. She moved down off the bridge, sure that she was alone. She stepped down off the bridge, grass tickling against her ankles and calves as she made her way, picking her way along the shore down to the river below. The river itself wasn't too deep, but it did have some depth, and a bit of a current that the inky darkness couldnt portray. Assana wasn't worried though. She felt at home with the water, and the water accepted her, a kindred spirit. In essence, she was water. Stepping into the water itself, she made a few splashes as she kept her arms at her sides for balance, letting the cool ripples move against her body. She closed her eyes as she submerged herself to her thighs, the portions of her dress that was wet flowing aorund the water, or otherwise clinging to her form. She closed her eyes, letting her form relax. Wading in further, 20:03:06 [Ayden] I can now post 20:03:13 [Assana] she touched her hands against the rippling surface of the river, and her whole body began becoming transparent. 20:10:49 Ayden arrived back in the city after a venture further into France for no other reason then to simply explore someplace he was not familiar with. For the moment, he was walking into the city, he carried nothing with him and wore just a pair of dark slacks, and a white button up shirt with the sleeves pushed up just under his elbows. The shirt was untucked and the two top most buttons undone. By change, ha passed through the public park that Assana found herself in now. Ayden arrived on the bridge the moment Assana became translucent. His steps slowed then stopped, his bright sapphire eyes locked on her form, his expression became inquisitive over anything else as he watched her in silence for the moment, apparently waiting to be discovered. 20:17:08 [Davion_Elethar] By now, Davion was exiting the woods, which lead him down a pathway that rounded off into a bridge, upon which he saw a figure. Stopping, immediately, upon this realization, Davion would squint and hold his hand out to the side, the air seemingly dying in the area. Chi poteva che essere, e perché sono qui questo ritardo? He quickly thought, before reasoning that the person must be out there for the same reason as him, boredom. Though, with the strangers fixed gaze on the water, Davion concluded that the person saw something splash. So, on Davion went, no approaching the bridge, placing his once removed hand back into his jean pocket, and again resummed the control over the wind. -- "We have her in sight..." The raspy voice would say over an intercom as brown eyes locked onto a translucent form in the water. For seven or so hours they had followed her, waiting for conformation of some sort, and now they had it. "Procede." echoed over his end, this time, and the brown eyed man closed<c> 20:21:25 [Davion_Elethar] shut his left eye and squinted down the scope of his rather powerful rifle. -- Davion was just now passing the stranger, giving a polite nod, when a splash occured, and thus caught his attention. Looking down to the water, the ripples slowed and faded, yet he now saw a blur, right next to where the splash occured. Odd. Davion then heard something that confirmed the residual inkling, a pop. -- "Second shot." The first was merely to gauge his rifle, to which the young woman should be glad, for the bullet missed by mere inches. Now, with the ejected shell casing resting on the grass near the brown eyed man, he loaded the next round and re-zeroed on the target, however he noticed two young men on the bridge just above, to which one yelled something to the other.. and to the woman. -- "Run!" Was all Davion could get out before part of the bridge railing exploded into splinters. They had been made, discovered, and now was not a time to hesitate. So, Davion took off, running quickly to <c> 20:22:08 [Davion_Elethar] treeline he just came from, motioning behind him for both the young man and girl to follow. He would not let them die, if he could help it, and would try his best to get them to safety. 20:34:16 Assana heard nothing from the wind, and for the moment, she was in tune with the water, letting it flow over her, through her. She began to feel the currents move through her, even as she began taking on the properties of water itself. Suddenly she felt a disturbance, and her eyes opened, liquid blue eyes swirling within watery depths even as the bullet splashed into the water. She let out a watery breath, the sound of rushing streams coming out of her mouth, even as she whirled around, gracefully to face her attackers. She looked both beautiful and deadly, even as her form splayed out. She could not fly, and she wished she had, because if she could, she would drown her attackers by force. But now was not a time to fight. She heard the telltale voice of Davion screaming at her to run, and her eyes turned, locking on Ayden for a moment. Then she was gone, moving. It was hard for a translucent figure to be tracked, as they took on the look of the land around them, even through misty watery depths, and so she kept he 20:34:30 [Assana] her form, even as she raced out of the water. More shots rang out, and she ducked, to miss them, even as a tree exploded beside her, bark flying everywhere at the impact site. How could i be so stupid! Her voice cried out in her mind. She needed to get to safety, but would she? 20:42:51 Ayden took his eyes away from the woman to look towards a man as he passed him. He fallowed the fellow with his eyes for a moment, inclining his head slightly after he acknowledged him. He felt the projectile pierce through the air before he heard it or even saw the resounding splash as it hit the water. He danced back from the railing as another bullet splintered the wood. He had a general idea where the shot were coming from then. His eyes narrowed considerably and from there, the air stirred as he willed it. A second later, a gale was kicked up, debris along with it. The tempest was very localized and was place between the three of them and the riflemen, hiding their exact position from the gunners. The gale would begin to move then, towards the men who had the audacity to shoot at one of his kind. “Now would be a prime time to run.” He called in a controlled, yet icy tenor, his blue eyes locked on where he imagine Assana was. The sound from the wind was nearly deafening but would not harm the three of them.<c> 20:43:09 Ayden <c>It a split second, he was on the shore with Assana, hopefully she had the presence of mind to take on a corporeal form by then. His speed was astounding, no doubt a talent tied into his abilities. 21:04:18 Assana wasnt sure who Ayden was, or why he was involved in this, but Davion had included him when she was told to run. She felt the wind tear through her, like a vaccum, even though she was on the other side of it. She had no choice but to go corporal. In a watery state, the air had too much pull on her. She materialized near Ayden, her eyes wide with fright. "Don't worry about me, just go! Hide!" She hissed, water swirling within the depths of her eyes even now. Another bullet skimmed off the area justa bove her head, and she dropped down, covering her head, flinching at the sound. What could she do? She was only a water sprite. A nymph. Digging her fingers into the earth, she pushed herself to her feet, grabing Aydens hand, and urging him from his spot. "You'll die if you stay here!" 21:12:40 Ayden glanced over her before he looked in the direction of the shot that came so close to hitting her. His eyes narrowed again and the gale shifted into something much more violent, a cyclone which picked up in power as it continued on its way towards their attackers. “How about I don’t leave you behind and get us both out of here…” He said dryly as his fingers closed about hers. He let her start to pull him along, that was, until they came into a cluster of buildings and came to an ally which he was so kind as to yank her down. The ally opened up onto another road. The whirlwind he had left behind could be heard dying away, it wouldn’t be long before they would have unwelcome company on their heals. Ayden had no clue how many people he was able to do away with nor did he know how many would continue to hunt this woman, well, almost woman. “Can’t you go any quicker.” He asked, trying to pace himself with her as he continued to zigzag through the city towards a destination known by him. 21:19:53 [Regan] "The hell?" Regan's body jerked into a sitting position, his eyes wide. The curious part of him dared to look out the window, into the view of the park. Assana was down there with someone else, and apparently being shot at. Sighing and muttering to himself about forgetting to write a suicide note, Regan pulled his clothes on and grabbed the trick baton he had earned money with the day before. It extended at the press of a button to it's full 5-foot length while he leapt from the open window and onto the street about four feet below. The baton caught fire, in spite of the fact that Regan had stopped running. The other man had taken Assana away from her shooting friends, and were tearing through the back alleys. He sighed and ran after them, grabbing a streetlamp to better navigate the turn into the back alley. The torch extinguished itself and shrank to normal size, leaving him nearly unarmed and running after people with guns in their hands. Why hadn't he written that suicide note? 21:20:32 [Tim_Vellox] Work. It had brought the humble Irishman to France. More specifically Marsaille. Tim had spent a little over three weeks adjusting to the city before he started and finished his project in the same day. So, now on company time, Tim had a miny vacation strewn out before him. So, were better to start than a walk along one of the country roads. The night air filled his lungs, cooled him off and let him increase his brisk pace. Wearing black slaks, a blue button down shirt, long sleeved of course and tucked in, Tim gave no care to the firearm at his side, nor the knife. He was new, like afore mentioned, to the streets of Marsaille, and had no problem carring the extra protection. So, green eyes looked to the sky as three, no, four distinct sounds, rather loud, echoed from ahead. Pop, crack, pop, crack. Well, I'll be damned! And Tim broke out into a run. Within minutes, Tim was standing five feet away from a crazed lunatic on the side of the road, who was carelessly shooting at someone in the-- 21:24:47 [Tim_Vellox] park. Now, drawing his Sig Sauer P226 .40 S&W pistol, Tim took aim at the man's head. "Bad day to be shooting at people." His usually jovial voice was cold and harsh, whoever the fuck this guy was shooting at better count themselves lucky for another pop could be heard, and then the persistent rifle fire fell silent. Bending down, Tim rolled the dead brown eyed man over, and siphoned his pockets, pulling out ID, cash, whatever he had. Then, he quickly picked up the rifle and looked down the sights, or rather scope, to where the man was firing. Nothing. Tim was a bit puzzled but decided to go investigate anyway. Afterall, this was what the man was good at. So, with ever watchful eyes, that indeed noted a strong windstorm dying off, Tim started to locate and follow the random bullet marking and firing pattern. If only he knew that he would most likely be mistaken for the attacker, as he carried the rifle throughout the alleyways with pistol drawn and ready. 21:37:27 Assana again she tugged on Aydens hand, rather frantically. "C'mon, then!" She didnt exactly know this Ayden but if he was being pursued as she was, she could only help him out. She slowed down when they reached a cluster of buildings. Pop, pop tick pat pat! Came the sound of multiple bullets being fired. But they seemed farther away, and then silence. Her lungs burning, she continued running, carefully dodging sewer dumpage and other things that didnt belong. "I'm going as fast as I am able to.." She said with difficulty. She felt out of her element, surrounded by stone and morter. She heard the faint footfalls of someone lighter running their way, and thinking it was their pursuer, she opened her hand, half turning to release a volume of water on her assailant. She paused, when she saw Regan, and nodded the boy over. "You should've hid." However, she seemed more inclined for the safety of the group, if thats what it was. Finally, she pulled her hand free of Aydens, stopping when it seemed she didnt hear 21:37:52 [Assana] the footfalls anymore. She gasped for breath, placing her hand upon the side of the nearest building, gulping in air. "I think...we lost them.." 21:46:00 Ayden glanced behind them as a boy seemed to catch up them. He didn’t think he was much of a threat, and the fact that Assana seemed to actually know him kept Ayden from being an aggressor. When she stopped, he did as well and rounded on her, his eyes flicking over her curious, he still had his breath. Running was not a difficult feat for him. He looked back towards the boy for another moment before he spoke. “We should still get indoors. I have a home near by… Can you make it?” He asked, Assana skeptically, if she gave him the least bit of evidence that she couldn’t, he’d simply pluck her off her feet and continue on down a side street and onto a main road. Before long they were standing in front of a medium sized two story building, the building was light like the other around it and obviously well kept. He’d then set Assana on her feet if he indeed had to have carried her. 21:49:13 [Regan] Regan's running was quickly intercepted by a large splash of water. The hard 'PAK' of bone against road echoed out slightly into the streets of Marsaille. "Well ex-cuuuuuuuse me, Princess!" He joked, standing and sitting against the top of a dumpster. "Have you been gambling lately, Assana? Racked up some huge debts so they can take it out of your hide?" The baton extended and flickered to life, two healthy balls of fire on each end. "And I don't think they were interested in me. Fire Elementals are less useful than you'd think." Regan sighed, looking over at Ayden. "Regan Sai. Nice to meet you." "We should still get indoors. I have a home nearby...Can you make it?" He noticed that Ayden was feeling very concerned for her. Concerned or protective? "You two go on ahead, I'll be going back to my house." Regan said, hopping down from his makeshift chair and walking the other way, spinning the baton in the air and waiting for the flames to extinguish themselves again. 21:52:52 Tim_Vellox had closed the gap considerably, all and all, and had only broken out a slight sweat. Damn, what in the heavens did these people get themselves into? He thought as he rounded a corner of the alleyway. Sighting his gun, as was habit, Tim let it lower moments later when he saw a wet boy, twirling a staff of fire, another young man consulting a girl who seemed out of breath and that was it. Hosltering his weapon quickly, Tim moved forward, then stopped, turned on his heel and left. Although he did leave a note of relief behind, "I shot the bastard, just so you kids know." And with that the Irishman would be gone. 21:58:49 Assana turned to answer Ayden, nodding her head, but when Regan spoke, her eyes narrowed on him. Cocky little... She pushed herself off the wall, and gave Ayden a smile , but when she rounded on Regan, that smile was gone, and a thunderious look was on her face. Almost as if she was gonna...idk..rain on him?Good quesiton. Anyway! "Listen here punk.." She said, towering over the small boy. (Is she? I havent checked) She pointed out towards the streets. "Out there, elemental is the one word you dont want to shout out. Out there, that simple word will get you killed, regardless of how useful you are, or are not. And you are way too young to fend for yourself, no matter what you may think. You're coming with us,like it or not.." She paused as she heard footsteps and then a voice. Damnit with the whole sneaking up on people! She straightened up, her eyes on the defensive when the stranger Tim appeared out ofthe shadows. Kids? Her eyes bcame confused, and as she looked at Ayden, the strange irishma 21:59:18 [Assana] irishman disappeared.Okay. What the hell? 22:05:13 Ayden opened the door then, still not addressing the boy since Assana had plenty of words for him herself. Her words did end up bring a smirk to him which looked nice on his young face. He didn’t really care what boy did as long as he didn’t get himself into trouble or bring trouble to them. Ayden was under the pretense that it was each and everyone of their responsibility to help their kind in any way they could. Anywho, he stepped inside and waiting for whoever chose to accompany him to move inside as well. The whole building was decorated with varying brown furniture, light walls, loads of book shelves and quite the array of artwork and maps on the walls. “I suppose it would be best if you stayed until things are relatively safe out there…” He said as he gestured out the door. His accent, distinctly American but articulate and precise, as if learned from a different era. 22:22:39 [Regan] Regan looked down at Assana, viewing her undoubtedly-pissed-off face. "Listen here punk. Out there, 'elemental' is the one word you don't want to shout out. Out there, that simple word will get you killed, regardless of how useful you are, or are not. And you are way too young to fend for yourself, no matter what you may think. You're coming with us, like it or not." Regan stared her down as long as he could, then sighed. It's pointless to argue with your weakness. Either way you're gonna lose. "If you're finished, we should get inside. Apparently, the streets aren't safe anymore." He said with another defeated sigh, and walked backwards by Ayden's door. "May I?" With his consent, Regan would wordlessly slip inside. 22:40:09 Assana quirked a brow at Regan. "Thats what I've been trying to tell you. Get inside." She pointed to the door. She shook her head, and gave Ayden a look. It was frustration and underlying fear for what could've happened. Glancing around to make sure no one was watching them, she slipped inside the house and ran her hand through her hair. She glanced at Ayden and then walked past him to sit in the nearest chair. Her nerves were frought with worry, and tension filled her form. She wasnt exaactly the more chipper person, not when she was one who was being hunted. "I dont think we can afford to stay in any one place for long. But this is my fight. I wont endanger the whole group for one person." She shook her head and closed her eyes, trying to think of a way to think things through. Blah blah blah, enter. Hey, i was rushed. 22:47:15 Ayden glanced back towards the boy and nodded once to him before he closed the door behind them. He let out a sigh as he let his guard down to an extent. He made his way into the kitchen then, leaving his quests in the livening room for the moment. He came back with two glasses of water, one he handed to Assana before he took a seat. “Feel free to help yourself to the kitchen, only please do not make a mess…” He said to Regan before he took a drink from his glass. His blue eyes then flitted to Assana before he rolled them at her comment. “As noble as your comment is, it is far more beneficial for all of us if we help one another out… In laymen’s terms, I’ll do what I can to keep you out of their hands weather you like it or not.” He took another drink and emptied his glass. “There are guest rooms upstairs and down the hall on the left.” He said, getting to his feet and going to a room on the first floor. “I’m going to turn in for the evening.” He paused then, looking back to the pair of them. <c> 22:47:29 Ayden <c>“My name is Ayden by the way, I’d prefer you didn’t wake my unless it is urgent.” He said, offering Assana a very slight smile at that before he went into his bed room and shut the door behind him. Obviously he wasn’t to concerned about being discovered. 22:59:40 [Regan] Regan sighed and sat down on the floor, pressing himself up into a small corner of the room. He didn't want to take up any more space than necessary. "Feel free to help yourself to the kitchen. Only, please do not make a mess." "I'm okay, thanks..." The baton had gone out again, laid down beside him while Assana spoke. "And I won't force someone to put themselves in danger to save someone else. I'm gonna help, Assana. Like it or not." He pursed his lips and moved them to one side of his jaw, watching Ayden walk down to his room and shut the door behind him. Sighing, Regan stood and stepped quietly into the kitchen, taking a glass from the open cupboard and filling it with water. He was still taking his sip when he returned to the living room. "So. You mind telling me why you were being turned into a rousing game of Bullet Ka-Plunk?" Edited by Assana, Jul 19 2009, 03:33 AM.
