Hi. Just to let you know, I realize that my username isn't the name of my character. I've made a request that it is changed to Andrea Colby. COMPLETE OOC Alias: Sarah Age: 16 Contact: Email (S_McCrea45@yahoo.com), PM RP Experience: About two years Is English your Native Language? Yes If not... explain your skills, please. New Members Only, How did you find us? RPG-D The Basics Full Name: Andrea Jane Colby Go By: Andrea Nicknames: Janie, Colbs Gender: Female Birthday: May 14, 1994 Grade: Junior Sexuality: Straight Hometown: Covesville, Virginia A Little More Detail Personality: Andrea is a happy-go-lucky kind of girl; she absolutely loves hanging out with friends and just being silly. Often, she and her sisters would gang up in prank wars against their brothers—starting water balloon fights, jumping out from nowhere in Halloween masks—they did it all. You can almost always find a smile on Andrea’s face, even when she is totally stressed out. Despite her bubbly personality, Andrea is extremely dedicated—almost to a fault. She can be found in a practice room three hours a day, even though her class schedule leaves her with a ghastly amount of homework. Due to this exorbitatnt amount of practice, her embouchure is is extremely well developed and her fingers are extremely dextrous. However, {unbeknownst to her}, she is developing a nasty case of tendonitis in her right wrist and hand. Deep down, underneath her exuberant outer shell and tough dedication, Andrea is—just as any other teenage girl—fragile and slightly insecure. In her past there have been people that have taken advantage of her, thinking, Oh, Andrea never gets angry; she won’t mind. But she did mind. She did care that no one practiced their parts for the mini-musical they did in sixth grade. She did mind when she was left to do all the work on the rocket she and her partner had to build in eighth grade. She was sick and tired of having all the responsibility thrust upon her. She needed to vent—to tell someone how she felt, but everyone was busy with their own problems. So instead, she talked to Him. Every night, a half hour before she closed her eyes, Andrea just sat in bed and talked. She babbled and she laughed and sometimes she even sobbed, but He was always there, listening, carrying her through her rough patches and walking with her during her smooth spots. He was always there. Sometimes, when Andrea is not pushing herself to succeed or hanging out with friends, she just likes to hang around the house in her PJs and read or watch TV. To just relax and not have to worry about anything is better than the best concert she’s ever played. To not have to think, in itself, is a blessing. Andrea absolutely loves to be outside. Swinging on the tire swing, riding horses and sitting in front of a campfire are her favorites. Her color is lavender—its soft, sweet femininity fits her to a “T” and when she wears it, its light, springy hue offsets her dark, bouncy locks. Her style is casul chic—a cute pair of jeans paired with a beautiful, flowy top and some flats is the way to go. When Andrea is angry—as rare as that may be—it is usually due to people not pulling their weight. History: Andrea is the daughter of Trisha and James Colby and the granddaughter of Jane and James Colby and Aliza and Joel Foreman. She is the youngest of six children and is the aunt of three boys and two girls. The children of her sister Eliana (Jackson; 5, Emily; 3 and Joy; 1) and her brother Andrew (Bradley; 3 and Lane; 1). Andrea is extremely close to her extended family and loves visiting her aunts and uncles and cousins in Pennsylvania. When she’s not at school, Andrea lives on a former plantation in Covesville, Virginia with her parents, three sisters (along with Eliana’s husband and children) and two brothers (along with Andrew’s wife and children). Her parents bought the place after Andrew was born and moved there in order to have space enough for their family to grow. There are also many pets hanging around the Colby house. They have a golden retriever named Daisy and a Saint Bernard named Chase, two small turtles named Mac and Cheese, three orange and white koi that live in the small pond by the porch and a beautiful, black and white Gypsy horse named Orianthi. All throughout her school career, Andrea has received straight A's. She was always at the top of her class and got the highest standardized test scores (a 34 on the ACT and a 2130 on the SAT). She also has a real talent for music. Her journey began in the fourth grade when her music teacher loaned her a clarinet to take home and try and she fell in love immediately. In the fifth grade, Andrea enrolled in band, along with clarinet lessons taught by her band director’s wife. And so the years passed… Andrea continued to take lessons and improve her skill until there was nothing her teacher could do but listen. In her freshman year of public high school, Andrea began taking extra, biweekly clarinet lessons with the first chair clarinet of the Charlottesville and University Symphony Orchestra. At the end of her freshman year, Andrea's parents decided that her musical abilities (as well as intelligence) could no longer be nurtured in a public school and enrolled her at Marietta. Appearance: Andrea is of average height, however she is very thin. Despite her sveltness, she still sports a womanly hour glass figure that has won her many longing looks from young men. Her long legs always seemed to get in the way as she passed through the awkward pre-teen stage, but now only add to her beauty. Her pale, porcelain skin stands out starkly against her dark, luxurious ringlets. Those locks fall just past her waist in cascades of heavy tendrils. Andrea’s chocolate brown eyes sit tenderly above the tops of the dlicate cheek bones on either side of her slim, straight nose. When she smiles, her pale pink lips part to expose straight, white teeth that are surrounded on either side by small dimples and the faint beginnings of laugh lines, remniscient of 17 years worth of happy memories. Both of Andrea’s ears are pierced, with only one hole in each ear. She wears make up, but it is usually very light and natural. Her hair is generally down, framing her face and hinting at her slender waist The Family Celeb Claim: Emmy Rossum Mother: Trisha Colby Father: James Colby Siblings: Eliana Jameson, 28 Anna, 24 Madison, 22 Chris, 27 Andrew, 26 Other Importants: Andrea's father was born in Scotland and immigrated to the Washington, DC area with his parents and six brothers (big families run in the genes) when he was twelve. His brothers all moved to the Pennsylvania in order to work in the steel industry, but James moved to Virginia with his new wife, Trisha where she established an Interior Decorating firm and he started a carpentry business. Example RPG Post Emmelina could feel the warmth and soft cotton of the duvet against her skin as she lay in bed with her eyes closed. Her hands went up to twist in her caramel hair as she stretched her legs, feeling the joints pop. Her stomach was in knots. The day hadn't even started and she was scared to death. A new school for a bunch of snotty rich kids....would she fit in? Probably not. What would they say when they found out her dad was murdered? Probably the usual. Emmelina threw off the covers and swung her feet over the side of the twin-sized bed in her dorm room. She got up, slid on her slippers and strolled over to the dresser where she had put her clothes the night before. She opened the top drawer and pulled out a black, pleated mini-skirt with chains hanging from the belt loops and a thin white t-shirt with a grungy, red heart printed in the center. Tossing the articles into the waterproof shower bag that hung from her doorknob, Emmelina quickly closed the drawer she had just been using and pulled open the one below it and grabbed a bra and some underwear. Closing the drawer, Emmelina grabbed the bag off of the doorknob and shoved the underwear into it. She zipped the top of the bag and quickly felt the bottom compartment to make sure her toiletries were where they were supposed to be. Confirming this, she flipped off the light in her dorm room, shut the door and strolled down the long, carpeted hallway to the bathroom. The inside of the bathroom was stuffy from the hour of hot showers that had already taken place. Emmelina could feel the steam that filled the tiled room caress her body and leave her feeling sticky and uncomfortable. She took a deep breath and could smell the sickly sweet aroma of teenage-girl-bathroom; a montage of cream and soap and spray scents that have mingled together to form one muddled smell. She cringed. By the time she got there, there was already a line backed up into the toilet part of the restroom. Emmelina sighed and took her place behind a tall girl with long, curly brown hair. All around her, girls were applying makeup, brushing their teeth and combing their hair--like they belonged, like communal living was part of their every day life. Emmelina couldn't help but feel alienated and foreign to this style of living. She just couldn't get over the fact that the only thing separating her shower stall from the one next to it was a flimsy piece of vinyl strung up on some cheap rings attached to a cold, steel rod. The line moved by two people and Emmelina scooted forward as another girl appeared behind her. She hummed a little tune and twirled a piece of her blonde hair around her index finger. Emmelina rolled her eyes and focused her attention on a section of tile grout that had an extraneous amount of air bubbles. Then, for lack of anything else to do, she began counting.
