COMPLETE OOC Alias: Jo Age: 18 Contact: PM RP Experience: 6 years Is English your Native Language? Yes If not... explain your skills, please. New Members Only, How did you find us? Rpg-Directory The Basics Full Name: Dorian Adam Wolff Go By: Dorian Nicknames: Prefers to be called Dorian, but he’ll respond to Dor, Ian, and Wolff. Gender: Male Birthday: July 9th, 1995 Grade: 10th Sexuality: Straight Hometown: Towson, Maryland A Little More Detail Personality: Dorian considers himself a people person. If nobody else steps forward as a leader, he is more than willing to take charge. He is very accepting of all points of view and listens to what others have to say before adding his own input. He enjoys being around others and can normally strike up a conversation about almost anything. The downside to his attempt to please everyone is that he often lies to make the conversation about what they want to hear, not necessarily what he truly believes. He also has problems when it comes to romance- he has no problem being nice or talking to girls, but he doesn’t seem to understand the concept of flirting and has the tendency to lead girls on without realizing what he is doing. He prides himself in his writing abilities. At his old school, he was known for his newspaper and blogging skills. While he excels in classes that require writing and creative processing, he struggles in classes that are based upon facts. Getting anything lower than a B on a piece of work is considered failure to him. It is his writing ability and grades that got him into Marietta High; the fact that his Grandmother also use to teach English at the school might have helped some, but he overlooks this minor detail. History: It’s no wonder that Dorian excels at English given his family history. His maternal Grandmother obtained a doctorate of English many years ago, taught college English for quite some time, then taught at Marietta High for several years before retiring two years ago. Dorian’s parents met at college as English majors, got pregnant their Senior year with Dorian, and married soon afterwards. Several years later, Atticus was born. Both Dorian and Atticus were named after popular book characters. The first five years of his life were spent in North Carolina but the family soon moved to Towson, Maryland before Dorian started Kindergarten. Every summer though, Dorian and Atticus were sent down to North Carolina to spend time with their Grandmother while their parents were off doing literary pilgrimages or something like that. The young couple encouraged their children to be independent and creative by pretty much allowing them to do whatever they wanted when they were home- most of the time, Dorian and Atticus were at daycare, school, or extracurricular activities though. The adjust from living independently during the school year and coddled during the summer was never an easy one for Dorian- he hated being in Maryland. Dorian has no memories of learning to read or write, but he learned both skills well before starting Kindergarten. While other kids were struggling to write three sentences on a topic, he could easily fill up a page. He started writing stories for the school newspaper when he was in 3rd grade and progressed to news articles by the time he entered middle school. He created his first online blog when he was eleven (he chose to ignore the fact that one must be thirteen to create one) where he kept his peers entertained with stories about what occurred during the school day. By the time he entered high school, Dorian was well known amongst his peers. It was his grandmothers idea for Dorian to apply to Marietta. He wasn’t actually expecting to get in and was faced with a tough decision when he was accepted. His grandmother finally talked him into going, though he was still reluctant about attending. Only time will tell if he made the right decision. Appearance: Dorian has dark straight brown hair that goes down to around his ears. It’s a simple haircut, one that only requires him to brush it once or twice a day to make sure there aren’t any stray hairs sticking up. He has blue eyes that sometimes appear green depending on the lighting. Dark circles around his eyes are common from his poor sleeping habits. He stands about 5’6’’ tall, which is around average for a fifteen year old male, and is also average when it comes to weight. At times, he is mistaken for being younger than he actually is. Jeans and t-shirts suit him just fine when it comes to clothing, but he is going to attempt to dress a bit nicer while at school. The Family Celeb Claim: David Lambert Mother: Livia Zimmerman Father: Ezra Wolff Siblings: Atticus Wolff (13) Other Importants: Abigail Zimmerman (Grandmother) Example RPG Post The banner he was making in Photoshop only kept Max occupied for about ten minutes. If it had been a real project, he would have worked on it until he was done. That, and bannerswere really easy to make. He clicked out of the program without saving his artwork. He opened another program, and checked up on his current projects. None of them were class work, or they weren’t yet. He had to submit a sample of his work by the end of the week, which meant choosing one of his better pieces. After opening and closing a few projects, he finally decided on one of the pieces he did over break. By now, Max had been sitting still for about fifteen minutes without moving. He was about to move his head to see where he put his notes when he felt eyes on him. He paused, half wondering if he was under the disapproving eyes of the mad librarian. Or worse yet, his book lover Dad. He quickly realized the glaze was just someone staring, but who? Hardly moving his eyes, he noticed a dark haired girl sketching. What’s her name? Ally, Babby, Gabby? No, none of those. Oh, Abbey! His knowledge of the girl was slim. He recognized her as the new girl in his art class who talked very little. Normally, Max would have hacked into the school system and read her file, but there had been such an overwhelming amount of new students he hadn’t read any files. He was half tempted to check it out right now, but knew he would be in deep shit if a teacher saw. Once he realized he was being sketched, Max made an effort not to move around too much. He had posed for his friends before, but never when he was working on his homework. The next ten minutes were spent of him trying to only move his eyes to read his notes. Once or twice he slipped and moved his whole head, but that had to be expected. Max didn’t mind the girl drawing him, even though he was used to being asked first. Soon though, his neck started to feel stiff and he knew he would have to interrupt the girl. “Would you mind if I stood up and stretched real fast?” Max asked quietly, not wanting to scare the girl. He knew the new ones could be rather jumpy. Edited by Dorian Wolff, Jun 11 2010, 08:50 PM.
