First of all... Welcome to the site! We (I) are so glad to have you here! The rules aren't here to be annoying. They are here to be helpful and for the greater good of our RP community. Section I. *You must be at least 13 years old to join this site. *That being said, you really should be older as this site does allow R-rated material. Please mark all topics that are mature with either an M or an R. *Please join with your character's first and last name. [Example: John Doe] If you would like your character to go by two first names, then you may do so. [Example: John David Doe] Section II. *You must fill out an application and place it in the Pending Applications Forum. *This site currently has set there to be a limit of 20 girls per grade and 20 boys per grade. (This site has sophomores-seniors. This means 10th-12th graders). *Characters should be of appropriate age. Remember that the average cut-off for a child starting kindergarten is around September 1. If your character has a September birthday, then they are probably one of the older kids in their grade. **For our purpose, we will stick with: 10th Grade: Start the year at 15-years-old. 11th Grade: Start the year at 16 years-old. 12th Grade: Start the year at 17 years-old. If you have a good explanation as to why your character is older or younger, that is fine. Section III. *Please do not change your font color. (The exception is for plot pages.) There are multiple skin choices and what might be a good color on your skin, might not be such a good color on another. *Please do not write in a tiny font. Really, just try not to change the font size at all. If you can't read it, then you may make it bigger. *You must RP in third person and in past-tense. This is mandatory. [Example: She walked into the room.] *Please post at least 100 words per RP post. It isn't hard, I promise. [103 Words: This is 100 words. It is very easy to write 100 words. I like pie. Don't you? Oh my gosh... This is going to be so easy to write 100 words, because I am already at thirty six... now thirty eight... Wait no... Ah. As I keep typing, I keep adding words and this really is not that much. It seems like a whole lot, but really, when you think about it, it is not. Now, I only have twenty five words left to write and my sister wants me to tuck her in, so I need to leave and tuck her in.] Section IV. *Respect all members. *Staff have a final, temporary say. I, Admin, have the final, permanent say. (Basically, until I can look at the situation, anyone who is on staff can make a temporary decision that they deem is necessary. I'm hoping that this isn't ever an issue, however.) *These rules will be edited as I think of things or as something comes up. You will be responsible for following these rules. Every change and addition will be announced. Section V. *Please remain active. A lot of sites ask that you post only once or twice a week. However, that isn't much fun and that makes for a slow RP. If you want to post only once or twice a week, then you may do that. However, this site might not be for you. An active member will make at least five-seven posts per week. *Sometimes life gets in the way and five-seven posts per week is completely unreasonable. I understand that. I have lots of days where I am busy with school from 7 AM-6 PM and then have homework on top of that. If you can't be on during a certain time of year or you will be going on vacation, please make a post in our Absentee Thread in the OOC Forum. You basically get thirty "free" days, where your account will remain in good standing without an Absentee Post, but it is better to let people know that you are going to be gone. Section VI. *Graphics should never stretch the page. Graphic Avatars may be 150x150. Edited by Admin, May 31 2010, 10:50 PM.

If you have a problem with these rules or you think they are ridiculous in any way, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let me know! These rules are here to make this place BETTER, not worse. RP is supposed to be FUN. AND... If you're worried about the activity section... you are only required to post once every 30 days... It is just encouraged that you post much more often. =) |
