Name: Sherry Treant {Nicknamed "Cherry"}
Equivalent Age: 17
Species: :chikorita
Biography: Cherry was not one would think of as an ordinary little girl. She grew up not knowing anything about her mother, who passed away when Cherry was at a very young age. Her father was a Venusaur in the Black Templar’s elite forces. While he was the only family Cherry had, he did not act like an ideal father. He always valued his role as a soldier more than his role as a father, he never told her anything about her mother, and he only raised her thinking that she would one day follow in her father’s footsteps as a member of the Black Templar.

The only thing her father did for her other than provide food and shelter was train her to be a soldier so that one day, she too would be one of the Black Templar’s elites. Day after day, her father trained her in all aspects of a soldier’s life from basic training to fighting in large-scale battles. When her father was away, she would often review what she was taught before he left so that he wouldn’t come back home disappointed in her. In those days, she wasn’t the most outgoing Pokemon in the neighborhood. She rarely went outside on her own to meet other Pokemon around her age because most of the Pokemon she did meet personally were very unfriendly or perverted to some degree. That was the life she lived until she reached the age of fourteen.

Three days after Cherry’s fourteenth birthday, her father left for another mission and never came back. She did not hear the news of her father’s disappearance until five days after her father left, when one of her father’s comrades came to her house to tell her what happened. The news changed her life. While he wasn’t a food father, he was still the only family she had and without him, she was alone. For the first time in years, she began showing emotion by letting a single teardrop roll down her face. After that day, her life was never the same. She knew that at the age of fourteen, she was too young to join the Black Templar due to age restrictions. Therefore, she tried joining the Alpha Legion but when at the application for the Alpha Legion, she figured out that the age requirement was the same. It was clear that she would have to wait until she was older to join either team.

She decided that she would go far away for the next two years to make sure that she was ready to join the Black Templar when she came of age. While she was away, she met a young Hoppip named Polly. Polly was to become Cherry’s first true friend. Unfortunately, Polly was a pacifist while Cherry’s goal was to become a soldier. After spending a lot of time with the Hoppip, Cherry began to think like her. Instead of being eager to join the Black Templar, she decided that she wanted nothing to do with the Black Templar or the war going on. She only wanted to live in peace. That wish was soon to be torn apart.When Cherry reached the age of seventeen, a battle broke out where she was living. In the middle of the battle, Polly was beaten to death. After seeing what happened, she threw away all of her pacifist ideals and rekindled her desire to become a soldier.

She went back to where she used to live and at first hoped to join the Black Templar. When she arrived, she remembered how cruel her past was. She also began to see faults in the way the Black Templar operates. As a result, she decided to join the Alpha Legion instead of following in her father’s footsteps as a Templar elite.
Personality: In her early life, Cherry was almost emotionless, thinking only about being a soldier in the future and her father’s lessons. When she learned about her father’s death at age fourteen, she started to gain emotions on her own. In the time she spent with Polly, she began showing a true personality.

While she’s better than she used to be, Cherry is still not the most outgoing Pokemon out there. Every now and then, she might speak to someone else but those occasions don’t come very often. When she becomes friends with someone else, however, that changes. When she becomes friends with someone else, she gets attached to that friend, which made it hurt that much more when her friend was killed in the battle.

When interacting with other people, the way she acts depends on how the other person speaks to her. If the person she is speaking to is kind and friendly, she responds in a kind and friendly manner. If the person she is speaking to is rude and obnoxious, her responses reflect that attitude. First impressions often have a huge role in how she determines the other person’s attitude and the way she treats the person.

Above all else, there is one quirk in her personality that is worth noting. That quirk is her undying love for shiny objects. Anything that shines, whether it’s a polished blade or a precious gem, instantaneously grabs her attention. Once she sees something “shiny” reflect light, she immediately makes a dash for the object, pushing away anything or anyone in her way. This personality quirk makes a few people unhappy but it usually doesn’t take her long to come back to the real world and continue what she’s doing.
