Ice was one of the many members of the Alpha Legion looking on the raids board. He was trying to figure out which one would be a good idea. He looked at the one for Lethos caves, after it was a notice for stealth and beneath it a description of investigating something or another. Now stealth is not a good way to increase ones strength, unless you get caught but that would break the point of stealth. He looked to the next one for Atul valley, an extermination one. So obviously some power could be garnished from this raid. Yet other people seemed to have already left and there was only so much room so thusly that would probably be overkill. He looked to the last one, at some place called Duin. Now this place seemed interesting, it was still an extermination and there was a lot of room for various people. And there was large forces of chaos so he would need some help. But then there was the fact that the Templar would not help at all, meaning that there would be no 'kill stealing.' Ice decided that this would be the good idea to do, but he needed some people to go with. He looked around him and saw a porygon and misdrevus talking to each other. It was clear they must've been friends meaning they would probably work togethor. That and the fact that the porygon seemed to be looking at the Duin mission. He walked up to pair "Hello, I saw you were looking at the Duin mission and i was wondering if I could accompany you to Duin. After all safety in numbers right?" he asked as well as he could manage, hoping that they weren't appalled by his curse. |

Psychosis A severe mental disease that has to do with a being's whole personality. Psychopath A person with a severe, amoral, antisocial personality usually coupled with aggressive behavior. I've been diagnosed with, and labeled as, the aforementioned words in such a way that successfully condemned me to a vigorous sentence of five, interminable years. Within the time I've underwent a dramatic personality reconstruction that involved me buckling down and building a barrier around myself to prevent any further "bonds." These so called acts of "love" were murderous attempts to crush the other participant, as my father proved when he collapsed on the battle field leaving me to die, mentally. Though, going through such a sentence also helped me in a positive way... I've grown to understand and respect the natural ability that mother nature has granted me with; the infamous psychic capabilities that the Abra evolutionary line were known for. Spending an allotted time of five entire years in a cell, by my self, allowed me to continually build a sort of sanctuary within my own mind. I learned to live inside of my mind... I've learned to tap into restricted and hidden powers that were locked within my mind... However, spending so much time away from natural life only proved to be a negative effect that was directed towards me. Madness, though thought to be present, was yet to show itself… Upon my exit of the institution I was quickly recruited into the Alpha Legion due to my past acts of “brutality” and “potential” that was said to be within my inner-core. Yet, I couldn’t see why they said such things. I wasn’t able to remember much of my history past the time I was sent into the institution itself. I simply don’t remember why I was diagnosed with Psychosis, yet… It wouldn’t stop me from being who I was; an Abra capable of mass-destruction. Now, in the current point in time, I was in search of a group of capable Pokemon that were willing to travel towards Duin for a possible extermination of Chaos’ Pokemon. I cautiously approached the bulletin board that listed the currently available raids and there, right in front of my very face, read “Duin Extermination.” Not too far away from where I was standing were a group of Pokemon; a psychic, a ghost, and… A duck!? Wait, what in the hell was that oddly crafted, pink color-schemed, duck-looking, chunk of metallic material? Oddly enough, this group would do and they seemed interested in the raid I was currently hoping to go on. Well, it was worth the try. ”Interested in Duin?” I silently radiated my mental communication to the trio of gathered Pokemon. I lacked an introduction, greeting, or proper question. My speech and confidence in talking to others was dramatically altered during my years in the institution, however I’ve grown mentally strong. So no matter the circumstance I would prevail. |

Totally unaware of the new presences who were watching them(And indeed speaking, since the Abra's telekinesis didn't affect it's programming brain), Porygon looked over to Misdreavus as she went all up in his grill, giving him some shit. It was beginning to adapt better to the way she was talking, and now had a light hang on the broken grammar and dialect she used; It even unstood everything she'd just said! Unfortunately, though, that meant it knew she was less than happy, and that this board was apparently some kind of death trap... Porygon didn't really like the sound of that, yet was somewhat intrigued... "So what ARE these things?" It asked, completely having put aside the fact that Misdreavus was angry with him, or seemingly so at least. It just wanted to know what 'Duin' was... Edited by Scorn, Jan 16 2008, 02:15 PM.

Swiveling on the spot, the Misdreavus' extremities whipped back and forth in an unfelt breeze as she got riled up. Two Psychic Pokemon, an Abra and a Ralts were standing by the board, both inquiring about Duin. Both useless! As they were, anyway. If they were brought along and helped... But first, while her mind was whirling into tactical ponderings, her mouth opened. "Don't'chu go gettin' in mah head without so much as a howd'youdo thankyouverymuch I don't appreciate bein' all VIOLATED and shiiiit by no upstart psychic without no manners. YOU HEAR ME?" she challenged, glaring at the Abra in a slightly intimidating but mostly ridiculous-looking way, tilted to one side for dramatic effect. "An' maybe. WHO AXED YOU?" she answered the Ralts, before responding to the monotone of the Porygon. "This the MISHUN board. It's where you go to help out the Alpha LEEJUN, and get yoself all... recogniiiized and awaaarded and celebrated and shit by bashin' the heyll out of the Chaos. Why, you wanna impale others on that beak'a yours?" |

"Which mission should I join in on first...?" I thought as I scanned the short list of missions on the Raids Board. I was a new recruit for the Alpha Legion but that did not mean that I can't take on some of the missions and gain some experience as a true soldier. I've been trained in the ways of battle by my father in the past but that was only training. True experience comes from doing the real thing. The only way I'll gain enough experience to be more than just a novice soldier was to do some of the jobs assigned to the soldiers here. Looking down the list, I could see three missions, all of which were in different areas. One was in the Duin Caves, another was in the Lethos Ruins, and the last one was in Atul Valley. The Lethos mission looked like it would be extremely difficult. So far, only two Black Templar squads were sent there but nobody else had signed up for the mission. It would be pretty dangerous to go in alone, especially at the level I'm at. Atul's mission looked fairly easy but someone else had already signed up for it. I could go for that mission but it doesn't really seem difficult enough. Besides, whoever else is there can probably handle it on his or her own. That left only one mission; an extermination quest in the Duin Caves. It was on an intermediate level, which would be good way for me to test my skills. Right now, though, I couldn't tell whether or not anyone else was going. If I were there alone, then I might have been able to handle it but it would be better to travel there in a group anyways, despite my shy and introverted personality. I decided that I would stroll around the area to figure out if anyone else around here was headed towards the same destination. If I were to meet anyone else headed towards Duin, I would ask to join, whether the Pokemon was in a group or alone. I began walking around the area and before long, I found something that sparked my interest, even though it wasn't what I was looking for. The thing that caught my eye was a strange-looking dark blue ghost that was floating in the air on its own. Judging by its shape and color, it was obviously a Misdreavus. It wasn't really the ghost's figure or the ghost itself that grabbed my attention but rather, it was the object's around what seemed to be the ghost's neck, if one could call it that. Around its neck were seven red beads that shined in the light. "Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..........." I muttered to myself as I stared bright-eyed at the beautiful red beads. At that moment, it didn't matter what surrounded the non-materialistic creature as long as I was able to see the pretty necklace it was wearing. I remained in a trance caused by the shiny necklace for a minute until I heard someone else speak up and say something I was interested in hearing. "Hello, I saw you were looking at the Duin mission and i was wondering if I could accompany you to Duin. After all safety in numbers right?" came a voice that I did not recognize. Hearing the word "Duin" snapped me out of the trance and made me realize that this group may be headed in the same direction that I'm in. Once out of the trance, I looked around to make sure that I didn't have a large crowd of people staring at me while wondering what I was staring at. Luckily, nobody noticed that I was distracted. I took a quick look at the group from the same position that I took as I was staring at the Misdreavus and tried to determine who the people in the group were. First, there was the Misdreavus, who I already identified as a non-material being wearing a shiny necklace. Another was an oddly shaped object that looked like it was made by a child that was making a duck out of building blocks. {No offense Scon} The ghost and the object seemed to be fighting each other so it was pretty clear that the object was alive. There was also a Ralts that had apparently just joined the group. Judging by the sound of the voice, I guessed that it was the Ralts that spoke of Duin. There was also one more Pokemon in the group. That Pokemon was an Abra. Like me, it seemed to be the silent type but since it's a psychic type, it was probably communicating with the others via telekinesis. It was a decent sized group and those on the team could probably hold their own in battle. Joining this group would probably be the best choice. I walked over to the to the group and joined in on whatever conversation they were having. "I hear that you're headed to Duin. I hope you don't mind if I tag along!" I said upon entering the circle. |

Before it had even become aware of their presences, Porygon seemed to have become a leader for the Duin mission. These other Pokemon had all suddenly made themselves known to it, either by speaking directly, or because they had been called out by its friend. Misdreavus claimed it had been "violated" but Porygon didn't see what she meant; It hadn't been like the Abra, of which Porygon only knew currently as 'the golden one,' had attempted to make intercourse with her... Then there was one with the blue horn type protrusions and cloth-like attire, which Porygon might've freaked out at, had it known, even, what a Chaos was. As it stood, though, it simply recognised it as the blue one. Both seemed as though they "Sought death" too. And lastly a Chikorita approached, which was just green, to Porygon. Maybe it would ask them as to their prefered names, but it was slowly becoming more human, or living, and so that was no longer one of its first actions... Misdreavus claimed that Porygon wanted to go impale its sharp beak on some others. Naturally, it didn't know what to make of this, but considering the majority of others were up for doing this, it was probably for the best! So Porygon, following the trend, decided it would go, and ironically (and unknowingly) lead the way, despite not even knowing what to do next. Yes, I would like to go to Duin... Are you? |

Ice withdrew as he the Abra talked to him telepathically. After all if they could speak like that they could probably find about where his curse came from and then get everyone to kill him. The best he could do is to act normal and hope the abra doesn't go searching for extra information. Yes, I guess we are all trying to go to Duin, I think this Porygon will be leading the expedition. He said to the Abra "Yes I am interested in going to Duin. I just figured that I wouldn't do well alone and I saw you looking at the sign and thought you were planning on going. And you already have a party with your ghost friend so I figured I would join you." He said to the Porygon The best he could do is that no one questioned his weird coloring, or how the air felt so cold around him. Or maybe that was just him. "The town of Duin isn't that far away, if we all go now it might take a day or two of traveling, or we could use the gateway stones and arrive there within an hour. But the bulletin board was talking about how there is a rift there that scrambles teleporting, and then our party might be sent to different parts of Duin. But its all up to you." he said to the porygon again He looked up to the ghost, now ghosts don't always float. It was obviously some sort of inherited ability, and one of Ice's ability was to copy other abilities. Standing still he focused energy through his 'horn' he analyzed the ghost for how it levitated. The ghost could probably feel a little bit of a chill from this, but would most likely and hopefully unable to tell it was him doing it. After awhile he figured out how and was able to trace the levitating ability, but he didn't lift himself up because that might give cause for her to suspect him. |

Hecate sighed exasperatedly, rolling her eyes at the Porygon. "What is this? I guess someone's gotta come along'n keep you lot from bein' impaled on somethin' unsavory...." The ghost Pokemon shivered for a moment, her necklace and earrings shining oddly in the light for a moment while she pursed her lips at the Pokemon around her, all eager to rush to their deaths. "So what are we waiting for, then?" She turned and began heading toward the Gateway stones, still making a face. |

I watched as the group slowly formed as multiple Pokemon rushed up eager to join the raid. My lack of communication skills cost me an awkward reply by the ghost Pokemon telling me what I already knew; I didn't like talking. It wasted time, seriously. I followed the group, who at first hesitated to follow the ghost and the odd shaped duck, towards the Gateway Stones that were manned by another lot of Psychic Pokemon. I couldn't really tell or sense the level of danger that we were getting ourselves into, or that I've actually been accepted into the group. We reached the Gateway, all looking at the said pathway in mixed emotions. I was looking at it with a deep sense of curiosity; what in the hell was waiting for me to kill? What in the hell was waiting for me to wrest their power from? What in the hell... WAS THAT DUCK!? I mean, seriously. Dude. I don't even think I'm able to correctly talk to the thing due to it's oddness. I carefully inspected the being and came to the conclusion that it's a... Thing. A duck-looking thing. Though, I really don't care, my mind couldn't stop trying to make sense of it, it just didn't look natural, is all. |

It seemed that the group was indeed on their way to Duin. None of the others wasted their time with formalities as they walked off. I knew none of their names and none of them knew my name. Apparently, most, if not all of them, were as anti-social as I was. It worked well for me since all I wanted to gain from this trip was some soldier experience and a chance to see if my skills were good enough on a real mission; not a few friends. As the rest of the group started walking towards the Gateway Stones, I began following them. The ghost's earrings and necklace continued shining on the way to the Gateway Stones, which did distract me a bit but didn't stop me from walking or following the group. The five of us soon arrived at the Gateway Stones, a strange rock formation that will be used to get us to the caves where we will begin the slaughter. Taking my eyes off of the Misdreavus's shiny jewels, I took a look around the Stones to see what was there. There were a few Alakazam in charge of this weird collection of rocks. Seeing them made it clear to me that it was the Alakazam that teleport us to the Duin Caves; not the rocks themselves. We were at the gateway now and we'll be leaving for the Duin Caves soon. At this point, I wasn't concerned about what would happen to me after we were transported to Duin. Right now, my mind was focused on when we were leaving. The five of us would be out of here and on our way towards where we're headed when the leader of this group calls for us to leave, whenever that would be. Knowing that, I began waiting for the duck, ghost, or whoever was in charge here to say the words so that we could leave. In the meantime, my eyes caught sight of a spoon held by one of the Alakazam, which seemed pretty clean for an eating utensil. I did nothing but stare at the spoon until the group left for Duin. It was better than doing nothing while I waited... |

Porygon was getting slightly confused. It wasn't even sure what or where Duin was, or why the rest of them would be headed there (For its own objective had been to obtain information on anything and everything it could.) And yet they were all directing their thoughts, words, ideas and analysis at the pink and blue 'Mon, as if it were in charge. Rather than let them down, though, the Porygon reacted well, and took its own analysis on what they had all said, correlating and profiling information on what each said, and what they themselves were. It seemed that the Golden and Blue ones were capable of talking without use of any speech implement. They radiated their thoughts into brains, it would seem. At least, that was based on what Misdreavus had said. The Green one, though, seemed very much organic, and talked using its mouth. It didn't say much, and for the majority of the journey seemed entranced on shiny objects, including those Alakazam's spoons and the Misdreavus' beads. As for Duin, the area was far away, though could be reached soon, using the teleportation stones they were now at. It was also under some kind of "rift" condition, meaning teleportation would be messed up. What Blue said, and what Porygon read on the board seemed to differ in detail, though; According to him, the teleportation would cause everyone being teleported to end up in different places. Yet the words said that the various teams (Squads) would be seperated, after each teleportation. ...DURKA!? If they were all coming on the journey, like Misdreavus, then they must all be "Seeking death." Porygon still didn't understand what was meant by that. It'd find out soon enough. It seemed they were waiting on Porygon, having arrived at the stone, and so it just made towards one of the Alakazam, saying "Duin, with these 4" as though that would qualify it for going. Amusingly, that was all that was needed, and the Alakazam gave a bemused look at the lack of manners, before concentrating hard, amplifying it with the gatestones, and... Gone. Off to Duin!
