You gain moves by leveling, receiving moves at identical levels to in Diamond/Pearl - if Pikachu learned Thunderbolt at level 26 in D/P, it would here too. In general, moves have the same effects they do in D/P, though damage is 1/10 of original. Global Moves Global moves aren't really "moves" per se, so much as they are physical actions. If your Pokemon has feet, sure, you can trip a foe in a post - just because he doesn't know some magic move doesn't mean he can't use his body. Same with a general punch, throwing yourself at the foe, whatever. Damage for these is up to you, honestly, but it'll be lower than the damage of an actual move; though Tackle is base 35 power, tossing yourself at the foe might be around 20 or 30. It's not desperately important you get it exactly right, so don't worry tooo much about it. |
| Basic Flying Rules: "Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there." | |
