No, I'm going to love watching Cassel crash and burn in Kansas City. He only had success in New England because of Moss, Welker, and that offense line. In KC they have no weapons in the passing game and a questionable offensive line, at the end of the season Cassel would be wishing he had stayed in New England.

I think I would have let him play for a good 4 or 5 games before extending him. KC is building a decent offense, Bowe's a #1 WR, and a healthy Larry Johnson, Kolby Smith and Jammall Charles is a nice backfield. Not to mention, there is some decent #2 and #3 WRs behind Bowe.

Seems like alot for a guy as uncertain as him. But I do like him and think he could be a really good player in the league

Cassel i hope prooves everyone wrong and does great this season he probally won't but what ever and i think he's well worth the money stafford is getting more money than him and HE HASNT EVEN STARTED AN NFL GAME!! Cassel has started in the NFL before and he won 11 games so he's definetally worth the money

I want the Rams to acquire Thigpen as a QB of the future. He'll probably be cheap to get away from the Chiefs and definitely showed potential while playing with poor WR, OL, and running game.

On Cassel, I agree with Oakland let him play a few games, he won't increase his salary that much over the games. Even if he does earn more money like that isn't worth more cap room to know you are getting a good player, rather than throwing absurd amounts before proving anything outside a New England offense that can make any QB look starting caliber.

Yeah, Rams could probably get him for a later round pick, not much. With the improved O-Line and a hopefully healthy SJax, Thigpen would be able to put up big #s with the Rams. Avery is an up and coming #1 WR and I think Laurent Robinson could become a decent #2, he'd be great as a #3 though. I'm shocked that I haven't been hearing much about them going after Brandon Marshall or Anquan Boldin, Boldin would fit with the team.

They know they probably won't be in contention this year anyway, so I think they just want to see what some of their young guys can do. Like you said Avery could be a one and Robinson could be a no. 3 right now. I think they are hoping second-year player Keenan Burton, rookie Brooks Foster, or Derek Stanley will progress into a viable two. So I think the main reason you aren't seeing them go after a guy like that is because they want as many plays as possible to go to their unproven guys.
