Folks, People have been having asking where to buy cost effective food. We researched the cost in going to Sam's Wholesale as compared to one of the companies whom make dehydrated foods for long term storage. Survival Acres is one of the best as far cost and selection. We purchased a Years worth of dehydrated foods for around $1500.00 All of these are large #10 cans, sealed and dehydrated and has a shelf life of 30 years. We also bought 6 months worth of MRE, Ready to eat 3 meal packs at this location Being Prepared. These are the civilian version of the MRE. But have a shelf life of up to 10 years. Each of our BOB's have one of the packs which gives us three days of food. There are also good deals on MRE at ArmyGear.net Edited by Angryconservative, Aug 14 2009, 07:30 PM.
