What is Bisquick? Bisquick is a product that contains flour, shortening, and levening agent. Used to make biscuits, pancakes, waffels, dumplings. It makes the prep. for these items fast since all you have to add, for most of the recipes, is milk, sometimes eggs and if you are making a sweet biscuit for a dessert (strawberry shortcake) you would add sugar. http://community.bettycrocker.com/forums/p/1419/3710.aspx Substitute for Bisquick Baking Mix 9 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup baking powder 1 tablespoon salt 2 cups shortening Stir flour, baking powder and salt together thoroughly. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mix resembles coarse crumbs. This can be stored in an air-tight container for up to 1 month in the refrigerator or up to 8 months in the freezer. I suggest cutting the recipe in half if this is the first time you will be making it (just to determine if you like it or will use it more than once). http://community.bettycrocker.com/forums/p/1419/3710.aspx Large Printable Bisquick Recipe Cards Strawberry Shortcake Chicken and Dumplings Velvet Crumb Cake Cheesburger Pie Chocolate Chip Pancakes Pizza Pancakes Apple Crips http://www.bettycrocker.com/NR/rdonlyres/3...ecipe_Cards.pdf |
