The experience needed for leveling up is determined by level. Levels 1-10: 100 Levels 11-20: 200 Levels 21-30: 300 Levels 31-40: 400 Levels 41-50: 500 Levels 51-60: 600 Levels 61-70: 700 Levels 71-80: 800 Levels 81-90: 900 Levels 91+: 1000 Experience is gained by two means: battles, and events. Gaining experience by battling is obvious, but gaining experience by events is less so. What are events? They are miscellaneous things that happen in the RP that you can gain experience from doing. For example, a pokemon saving someone from drowning. In some cases, the experience earned there can be even greater than battling. Why is this the case? Because battles in the rp go much more slowly than battles in the games, and battling over and over quickly becomes repetitive. Sorry, serial posters, but your post count no longer contributes to experience gained. After a battle or an event, a moderator or administrator awards you with experience based on performance. Experience is kept track of in your team database as well as by moderators. Note that pokemorphs also gain levels and experience, but level has a less significant effect on strength. A level 30 and a level 50 pokemorph should still be on roughly equal footing strength-wise. |
