Jared seems to have taken to the atmosphere in Fla. Maybe it was his friends up here that was pushing him, thats what he told me. But whatever the reason.. I pray that he learns to love himself enough not to continue that behavior.

Yesterday, I attended a "Baptist-Pentacostal" church. It's called Greenway Spirit and Word Fellowship church. It was Fantastic! The Holy Spirit descended upon the congregation.

I know what you guys are thinking.. oh no.. a fundamentalist group with a kick..right? Well, you got that right LOL. However, I enjoyed the service. The pastor.. not once mentioned Hell or someone going to hell. It was different than what I was expecting. The congregation wore casual clothing. This is not something I've ever seen in a baptist or pentacostal church. Some were even wearing shorts and Harley T shirts. Some teenagers even has facial piercings and colored hair.

The Pastor (bless his heart) spoke only one time of negativity. He said that when we think about something negative and ponder on it..then we are giving it power over us. NOW.. does this sound strange coming from an old school, leg kickin, Bible thumping preacher? Hmmm. There was no talk of the Devil, Satan etc. Repentance was only mentioned once. He is also a Historical Fanatic. So, not only did he discuss the Bible..but he also discussed a couple of the practices that the fundamentalist churchs say is correct..which aren't. According to The Holy Bible.

Anyway, the reason I love going to this church is because it stirs up the Holy Spirit with praise. And mostly, because I can feel it. That "feeling" is addictive. My Hands heat up and start sweating, my entire body feels like its shooting out energy pulses and this time was strange because My FEET heated up and started sweating! LOL, I was wearing flip flops :))

The Love that I felt in the church overwhelmed me. Tears coursed down my cheeks through the entire ceremony.
I realized that I have missed the coming together of people worshipping God. I've really missed that.

This isn't the first time I've attended that church. The first time I went, I was nervous. I filled out my visitation card asking for a visit from the Pastor. I decided that I would tell the Pastor my story.. and based on his reaction would I ever attend again.
So, when he called me to set up the time to visit, I was excited that he would take the time to visit me at my home. He has a pretty large congregation.

My Goodness,
It appears I haven't posted in over a month here! I have been so very busy. Started working in another bakery called Sweet Tooth. They make custom cakes like you see on TV. I'm grateful for the work, especially since most of our brothers and sisters are out of work. Although, the pay is not very good at all. There is no way that I can support myself on my pay check there.

All of those "awakening" things have calmed down. Glory be to God! Whew. Can't tell you how grateful I am for that. Apparently, "Balance" is something I really needed. Getting back to normal is sweet.

Jarod is coming home this Sunday from Florida. I am so happy to know that he will be home. From what he tells me on the telephone, he is now ready to go to college and begin starting his life again. Apparently, he was going through his own growth period.

Jacob is playing football for the Varsity team at his high school, which is keeping me busy! All the practices and games are wearing me out, much less him. He loves it! For a child that was once given a blanket diagnoses of mild case of Cerebral Palsy to playing varisity football.. well, one must be so very grateful to God! I know I am.

Joshua is still being a firefighter and a helper to me. Especially in these financial times. He is helping me out quite a bit, which I am grateful.

Everyone is in my prayers. I think of and love all very much.

Love and Be Well

Hi Gin, I am glad Jarod is coming home and ready to go to school. Our kids can bring us the most joy and the most heartache, I firmly believe life is all about experiences. The things we go through help us to grow, but I also think there are times watching what our kids go through is harder than if we were going through it ourselves!

I think "I'll take God where I can find Him" would make a good title for a book don't you :) or in my case "I'll take God where I can find Him and Her" would be better. I think its wonderful you have found a Church that you enjoy so much. Church should be for the social experience of people coming together to share their love for God, so if that is what you have found and you keep your personal relationship with God and yourself intact, I say, You Go Girl! Many Blessing's ~ Anita
