Err, yeah.
[Lecture] Wings count as a 'limb' as it is a totally seperate bone and muscle structure. Bats and birds modified existing limbs into thier wings, and if dragons followed the same path, they would actually look like wyverns. However, the common view of dragons is a lizard-like quadreped with two additional wings in addition to the traditional four limbed skeleton set of Earth vertebrates.
Tails do not count as they are an extension of the spine, making monkeys/lizards/etc all four-limbed. [/lecture] Got it? It's simple evolutionary biology. :P
The wouldn't look like Wyverns, they WOULD be Wyverns.

I've never been too much of a wyvern fan. They always struck me as much more feral than Dragons with a sort of bird-eyed, almost chicken-like expression on thier faces.
Dragons are, like, well sophisticated 8D

Thier are lots of really cool mythical creatures, though - what about Basilisks? They have so many representations these days I dont quite know which is the real one XD I only know that it aint the one fom Harry Potter.

Basilisks and Cockatrice seem to have the problem then noone can remember which facts belong to which creature by this point. For example, as Morgoth stated, Harry Potter has innaccuracies in that the basilisk is supposedly born from a chicken egg incubated by a frog. That is actually a cockatrice.

Ladies and Gents, I must declare what I believe the greatest dragon is...

The one on the Welsh flag. The red one.

... ... ...

Oh, F'ck you all! Can you name another flag on the planet as cool as that? There's a bloody dragon on their flag! A DRAGON, people! The kind of dragon that I would refer to as "classic".

Hurray for the Welsh dragon! XD

Cockatrice' are wierd... again, I dont know too much about them - the only times I've encountered them ahve been in a couple of computer games and Dungeons and Dragons. From this I have gathered they are disgusting chicken/lizzard/haggis creatures that can turn you to stone with a glare.

Indeed, the Welsh flag dragon is the most awesome ^_^ I have a plush beanie-baby of one right here on my desk, though he has refused to reveal his name to me... the tag says "Y Ddraig Goch", but that simply translates to "Red Dragon"...

I admit, I found all the dragon beanies from that shop to be totally adorable, but my one stood out... he was quirking his eyebrow condescendingly at me from the shelf! :P

Huh, I have a plush Welsh Dragon too, I call him Sparky. Yeah, I know it's been done way too many times but he DOES look like a Sparky. If he has any other names, he's not telling.
Y'know, England has it's own dragon too. But due to some event in the past the Red Welsh dragon 'overcame' the English White one. I'm guessing a war of something, but because of that, we're now stuck with some pansy lions. Bleugh, bring back the White dragon of Albion I say! (He's NOT called Sparky)

Nick Griffin (irony) would like that...

Hah! Political humour! :D

That took me a moment to think about.
I laughed XD

*Shakes fist at Nick griffin* That arsehole tried to use Winston Churchil in his campain. The queen 'erupted in anger' about it aparently - theres a site I feel would be genuinly terrifying. More than any Dragon XD

While we're on the topic of the Welsh dragon, I call upon a certain forum member to link a certain picture of a certain black Van.

Beams of fire sweep through my head
thrusts of pain increasingly engaged,
sensory receptors succumb,
I am no one now,
only agony.

My crimson liquid so frantically spilled,
salivating red,
at the prospect of my ruin,
my doom.

Although this is a tad off-topic, I always feel sorry for those countries with the flags like that. I mean, yes, it's awesome and all, but can you remember in school having to make small home country flags for whatever it is we may be doing at the time? Imagine the torture it must've been for those little kids trying to replicate those flags.

On another note, one thing I found funny before was a book with numerous mythical creatures in... one such creature was a 'Unicorn Whale'.
I sat there for a few seconds, just thinking to myself.
'That's a picture of a Narwhal.

Haha, whale unicorns :P

With regards to the White Dragon of Albion, that's all linked in with the mythology behind King Arthur and Merlin, including the fight between the Welsh Red and English White. I don't recall the exact details... but to be honest, there AREN'T any exact details in Arthurian mythology. XD
