Indeed they are. For any huge dragon fans out there, my front room would probably give you a seizure. Dragon models, dragon lamp and even a dragon table. We also have a huge dragon painting/tapestry/thing and a sword with a dragon carved onto the handle somewhere around the house. If you hadn't gathered, I'm a werewolf fan. |

Yay, werewolves! Seriously though, wolves DO rock. Although dragons rock harder. As a nosy bugger I have to ask, how do YOU see dragons? Scaley? Furry? Feathers? Classic 6-limbed or Wyvern? I'm a nosy bugger, and I want to know. Oh, and if you're a NB too, I see dragons as scaley, with some feathers for a crest, 6-limbed and utterly awesome. Griffons? Golden brown, lion tail, (as apposed to snake), piercing eyes and utterly awesome. |

I see dragons as a totally customisable creature. They're usually different in most works of fiction, so I just go with whatever I like really. Also, as for Werewolves, they suck x3 As do Vampires, and more recently those TOTAL FAGGOT FEMMEPIRES like MOTHERFUCKING Edward! |

"Classic 6-limbed"? XD What? XD I mean, I've seen them about but they crop up one in a hundred for me. 'Classic' for me would be the the large, winged fire breathing type with scales, four limbs and a tail. However, I have to stand up and say Dont diss the Vampires! XD I mean, the vampires that have been emerging recently, like the ones from Twilight and that 'True Blood' program are absolutly, downright awful and seem to all have 'enormous penis' syndrome, but the classic sort are still awsome - the kind that live in castle and enthrall locals to do thier bidding. |

Eh, don't like vampires, they always kind of bored me. I mean, I like upper-class extravangant villains, yet vampires have always failed to really do it for me, whilst the more primal kind seem a bit 'meh' too. Although, with the new era of vampires coming in, I do feel sorry for all those vampire fans out there. XD Also;
Wings count as limbs, thus 4 legs and 2 wings = Classic 6-limbed dragons. Edited by Dregan, Nov 6 2009, 06:13 PM.

Well, then with that logic, roughly 50% of the 6-limbed populous would actually be 7-limbed. lol reasoning. |

...Er... why 7-limbed? As far as I gather, most flying creatures generally need more than 1 wing to fly. XD |

I dont quite get that reasoning either, to be honest XD unless your counting thier tail as a limb. |

That would seem to be the implication XD I'll be honest; there are styles of dragon I like and there are styles I don't like, and there are other dragon styles inbetween. At the end of the day, I'll judge them by their individual features, merits etc :3 |

Err, yeah. [Lecture] Wings count as a 'limb' as it is a totally seperate bone and muscle structure. Bats and birds modified existing limbs into thier wings, and if dragons followed the same path, they would actually look like wyverns. However, the common view of dragons is a lizard-like quadreped with two additional wings in addition to the traditional four limbed skeleton set of Earth vertebrates. Tails do not count as they are an extension of the spine, making monkeys/lizards/etc all four-limbed. [/lecture] Got it? It's simple evolutionary biology.

Thanks to that lecture, it should be fairly obvious what I mean by a 7th limb.
