(Do note that this is a fictional organization dedicated to establishing a clear goal.) The Unified Mixed Martial Arts Association is an association of individuals that were selected to serve as the governing body of MMA promotions. The UMMAA also hosts its own matches and shows that are made up of the biggest stars of individuals promotions and even has its own titles. If a promotion has a fighter selected for an UMMAA show then that promotion will receive a boost in ratings, payment for the use of the fighter, and the fighter will receive a boost in reputation and become a bigger draw. Current titles in the UMMAA include: UMMAA Championship: Free weight UMMAA Heavyweight Championship: 225-+++ lbs UMMAA Light Heavyweight Championship: 200-225 lbs UMMAA Middleweight Championship: 185-200 lbs UMMAA Welterweight Championship: ----185 lbs UMMAA Women's Championship: Must be female All titles are currently open, and contenders will be decided by their showings in their individual promotions. Promotions can break with the UMMAA, but this is only advised for larger promotions that could survive without its assistance. |
