"The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own." -- Benjamin Disraeli

Ever wondered how long the $1 you gave to the old lady selling tissue packets will last?

Ever wished that something could be done for those who have lost their purpose?

Ever thought of helping someone but feeling there is only so much you can do?

Hi Grace!

We understand that students might have a problem committing for that long a period. Although we strongly encourage students to implement their business plans with their VWOs, students ultimately have the final say and they can "stop" at the business plan stage and not choose to implement it.

However, these students who stop at the Business Plan Writing Phase will still be entitled to the following attractive prizes:

Business Plan Presentation Round

Category A / Category B

1st Prize- $4000/$3000

2nd Prize- $3000/$2000

3rd Prize- $2000/$1000

Each Category - 2 Social Innovation Awards

Category A - $1000 per team

Category B - $800 per team

Even if students decide to implement their plans in the end, the money provided to start the project will be provided separately by a seed funding from MCYS (i.e. the above prize money won't be touched and the $ is for students to keep).

Moreover, students will be guided by experienced and professional mentors backed up by Social Innovation Park (SIP) which was started by Ms Elim Chew. Hence, this will also provide invaluable experience for students to learn more about business! :)
