Uriel
Elven Elder

the forest kingdom of the elves has existed for tens of thousands of years, its people thriving in their wooded realm. as they made contact with the younger races slowly a bond of trust and fellowship grew amongst the races of the world. trade flourished and knowledge thrived.

the elven city of celdurain was sung into existence, a true wonder of the world. the spell-singers of the elves wove and sung the very trees of their woods into buildings and homes. the elvish people turned to their passions, indulging their wishes and turning their magic inward.

one elvish noble rose out of this, he tought the younger races how to sing simple spells, the weaving of magic and the crafting of enchanted items. and the peoples of the empire fell.

that was an age long gone. and while this time may not be perfect, it is not as it used to be. the elves have all but retreated into their wooded cities, their songs protecting them from harm and the world. they lost contact with the rest of the world, watching from afar the ways of the young races of the world, the choices they make and the consequences that come from it. but not all of the elves are quiet. not all of them live in the cities. some still wonder the world and many still seek to change the world.

how do i know this?

i am Uriel Ecthalian, and i watched it all happen. for ten thousand years i have walked the forests and lands of this world. i am the singer of the song and a weaver of the spell. and it is time to wander again.

Uriel
Elven Elder

Uriel walked benath the boughs of the forrest, soft green light drapped his robed form. the sweet smell of the earth comforted him against the oncoming chill of the world. he drew his dark green cloak aroud his shoulders, his age was catching up with him and he knew it. but he was not finished yet. straightening his back he carried on walking towards the nearby grove. it was time, and he needed to complete what he had started so long ago. the link was prepared and it was time to fulfill it.

he could feel the forrest close to him, could feel the very life force of it throbbing beneath his feet and flowing through the air.

ahead he could see the grove, stones marking its boundaries and the undergrowth wild and thick. Uriel walked into the middle of the grove, his footsteps sure and his breathing even. he closed his eyes and slowed his breathing as he sat down in the centre amongst the braken and the bushes. he opened his mind to the world and felt the heart beat of the forest.

and he smiled
