9/11 Truth Ridiculed In New Comedy Movie; "An American Carol"

After seeing previews of it I was actually looking forward to it as it seemed like a hilarious parody of Michael Moore, the fact that it featured Bill O'Reilly should have been enough of a warning but I still wanted to see it. Last night the DVDRip leaked out (the movie comes out on DVD the 30th). Anyway although the film is a parody of Michael Moore, and it features Dennis Hopper, Leslie Nielsen and others, its unfunny and a terrible movie. Instead of mocking Michael Moore it's just trying to promote a blind agreement with the actions of the American Government. But on to the 9/11 truth references, towards the beginning of the movie there's a "Michael Malone" rally featuring anti-war signs as well as a group of protesters wearing tin foil hats with signs reading "9/11 Was An Inside Job" (image below), then later in the film the Moore based character is on Bill O'reilly's show with a Rosie O'Donnell based character talking about "Hidden explosives", "Fire can't melt steel", and other semi exaggerated 9/11 as well as the moon landing hoax, and at the end "Elvis is alive" is thrown in. The whole time the Moore based character is remarking how crazy she is.

That movie tanked at the box offices, because no one is interested in right-wing propaganda pieces. If anything, that horribly made movie will help the Truth movement, because it shows how desperate the "conservatives" are.

World Falls for American Media, Even as It Sours on America

Shortly after the attacks on 9/11, a delegation of high-level media executives, including the heads of every major studio, met several times with White House officials, including at least once with President Bush’s former top strategist, Karl Rove, to discuss ways that the entertainment industry could play a part in improving the image of the United States overseas.

Hilary Rosen, the former chairwoman of the Recording Industry Association of America, who was also present at the post-9/11 meetings, said that Mr. Rove and other White House officials were looking for the kind of support Hollywood gave the United States during World War II.

“They wanted the music industry, the movie industry, the TV industry to produce propaganda,” she said. “Rove was putting a lot of pressure on us.”
