Congress is illegitimate, why are we honoring; their laws?

Congress has an approval rating hovering around 10% by most polls I've seen. We all know that there is a problem with them as an entity.

I have been watching the 'Bailout' hearings on Cspan 2 this week and it's more evident every day that this Congress is illegitimate. They and Wall Street are arguing over the SEMANTICS of the issue, while slick, non transparent deals are being made. Paulson and friends seem to be able to run free and change the 'plan' at their discretion.

Congress went against the will of the CLEAR majority of Americans to approve of this scheme, while the rules and Constitutional legality have never fully been addressed. Simply stated, can they even do this? Legally, and morally, can they play with the money that we pay in taxes, to bail people of their choosing out, even when there are major conflicts of interest in their favored picks? Even when some companies are former bosses or friends? Even when there are no guarantees in writing how this will work?

Like many have stated, we are being robbed and looted right in our faces and being told to like it.
The fact that this has even been permitted or given a level of acceptability, is worrisome. And during anb after the Obama "craze", I still don't see how anyone can or could have taken their eye off this issue, it goes beyond partisanship. The implications of this are bigger than most political issues I've seen come up in the past decade.

So with that, how are WE THE PEOPLE expected to follow the laws of the lawless? We payed taxes to fund two wars on illegal premises, we pay taxes to fund hostile takeovers of sovereign governments, we pay taxes to lift up CEOs and Corporations that have little oversight and often are above laws themselves, while they lobby their favorite 'in pocket' Representatives. All this and the best we have is 'protest'.

It takes more than protest or voicing disgust online. I just don't how "educating" people is the final step. People are OVERLY educated in these matters, in my opinion. At least those that I have seen online. I think that more action needs to be encouraged. The outrage is there, but it's waiting to have action. Rage without action creates insanity or even worse, total numbness.

LIFE changes are a great part of being active passively and striking big blows. Simple steps and re-directing of energy can be way more powerful than simple ranting and raving, like we are all guilty of.

So I am thinking that the people that view this forum are smart enough to come up with a 'mandate' or Declaration that they can spread to other forums, even ones without an official "truth movement' sign over the door. I think the collective energy of some brilliant posters and researchers here can revolutionize the way dissent is seen, even surpassing previous levels or attempts. The "truth movement' is full of creative and well versed people.

I'm thinking we can do more and be more. I'm thinking we can really encourage average Americans that aren't even 'like us' to stand with us. I'm throwing this out there because I have admittedly seen the writing on the wall more than ever before. This is basically do or die time and Obama's 'victory' will do nothing for America with regard to stopping this train wreck. In fact, he might encourage it more, under a different guise.

It's my concerned opinion that people in the 'movement', whatever that may be, whatever details we believe, need to mobilize more, or at the very least, focus energy in crucial places. Political Talk Shows and forums aren't enough.

A low congressional approval rating is not necessarily a bad thing. All of congress is not there to represent each individual. Only one person in the house represents you and two in the senate represent your state. Theoretically, you could be happy with those three and strongly dislike everyone else and congress would be functioning perfectly.

I do see what you're saying with the corruption, but the flaw is not in the system, it's in the fact that the electorate constantly reelects the incumbent whether or not they are doing a good job. We need better educated voters and voters that are willing to break the mold if we want to see a stop to this.

Citizen Pawn, do you have a list of laws that you plan on not honoring? I have a rather long list that I do not like myself.

My first set of 'laws' that I would not honor , within a Collective, would be all taxation laws.

The first definitions and ideas of "No taxation without Representation" applies. What we are taxed for that the Government doesn't "represent" us in :

1) We are taxed to support illegal wars
2) Taxed to support bailouts
3) Taxed to support the secret movement of illegal drugs, fund the drug wars, while Government agencies ALLOW those very drugs into the country
4) Taxed to support Illegal Immigration, while NO LAWS that are in place are withheld, while our tax money goes to pay for services, cleanup, education, finance, room and board, for NON CITIZENS, while REAL and LEGAL CITIZENS suffer.
5) Forced to pay taxes in local property taxes for public schools while those schools fund and educate children of non citizens who have taken advantage of "safe harbor" laws.
6) Taxed and expected to disclose all personal information to tax authorities and Government agencies, while the Government itself does not disclose its FULL spy programs to us.
7) Taxed to support Private Industries who throw away their business models on "DEBT BASED" financing, while we as private citizens are forced out into the streets and our Congress decides WITHOUT A VOTE from us, to do so. <<<<<WITHOUT REPRESENTATION
8) We are allowed to let PRIVATE ARMIES to thrive inside our borders such as BLACKWATER, but we cannot be allowed to arm ourselves and the laws are geared against us more and more eventually to quell these rights entirely.
9) We are expected to honor local police when they are armed with weapons that have a high rate of deaths (TASERS) , have not disclosed all studies and data on them, and make laws where Doctors cannot determine the cause of death was the "taser" (wording must be ommitted), while we pay local taxes to support these 'police'.
10) Congress has not represented the OVERWHELMING majority that opposed any "Bailout" plan, and have not represented us in issuing any firings, disciplinary actions, suits, investigative LEGAL hearings, indictments, or such. Therefor not acting as Congress MUST into legal proceedings, of which they have authority to issue.
11) Congress has not represented us in our grievances that they themselves voted and funded an illegal war on a sovereign nation, based on misinformation or disinformation, to the tune of a Trillion dollars.

These are just SOME of the grievances where we as a people are not being REPRESENTED. The taxation based laws can be summed up with one crucial act that nobody has been willing to REALLY take on in a massive coalition.

And that is to STOP PAYING TAXES.

It's not enough to say to someone 'Well, you pay taxes don't you hypocrite?"

It's not an act that one person at a time can do, it needs massive action at near the same time, as a Collective.

If people withhold taxes one at a time, the legal system supported by the IRS will pick us off one at a time. If Millions of people choose to not pay taxes or Boycott retail altogether for a period of time, there is NOTHING they can do to stop us. It's a pure numbers game.

As far as the taxes go, it is the ONE tool where we have the advantage. Nobody ever seriously speaks about this as a massive action. Ed and Elaine Brown tried it on the premise of Income Tax being illegal. Regardless of the ins and outs of it, it was mostly for that purpose. They didn't state HOW the tax money was being used in their name nefariously. And look what happened to them. All the attention was on them and they stuck out like a sore thumb, so eventually they failed.

Now imagine MILLIONS doing what Ed and Elaine did all in the same year, and declaring around the same tax deadlines that they are refusing payment. The Government doesn't have enough lawyers or Judges fight massive boycotts like that. They are either going to have to give up, or seriously rethink their policies.

The money is their fuel and power. It's my opinion that the only real victory an be done by Boycott and hurting their power base.

And remember, OUR tax money pays for slavery via KBR and Halliburton. We pay for them to KIDNAP people and make them slaves. We support genocide by supporting nations as Israel and aid them in arms and money. Every time we ALL pay taxes, we pay for them to allocate money toward these things.
