It's says, "The broken(forbidden) capital" the image of Washington is the US dollar and has nothing to do with the man. "I am not sure what gerade in th subtext is saying, but something about how the first world crises of this begins or began.

Verbrechen means crime. And it is meant as "The capital felony": The subtext means: "Anatomy of a world financial crisis that has just begun." I would have though some constitutionalists would have some problem with that image. It is not the whole bill, it is not the part of the eagle nor the part of the federal reserve note nor the pyramid with eye of providence. It is just an image of George Washington. He is just the one with the victory over the Kingdom of Great Britain in the American Revolutionary War. And he presided over the Philadelphia Convention that drafted the United States Constitution. Every german is seeying this image right now. If you Americans do not have problems with that then I will not say anything. Edited by FUNWO, Nov 17 2008, 10:07 AM.

Verbrechen-Kapital which is a kenning...it's a descriptor of the dollar as the fiat peg. This could also illustrate wages or job losses. Edited by mynameis, Nov 17 2008, 01:20 PM.

OMG OMG. Seriously though, why should it be offensive? The dollar, like most major currencies IS in trouble. And the symbolism's pretty accurate too... much of what Washington stood for has been wholly shot through the face |
