people in the uk might be interested in a program coming up on sky 3 (channel108) in about 15 minutes called "Hunter S Thompson the last 24", it is supposed to be an in depth look at the last hours leading to his death.
If you're unfamiliar with Thompson he is the guy being interviewed by an Aussie on the radio which is featured in the beginning of LC2.
I will record it and put it on google video as soon as i can although it might be a hit piece..

I'll try.. Just watched it, pretty much suggests that he had made up his mind to top himself and had invited his family round for one last final evening.
It does mention there was a guy there filming the night before, it would be interesting to find out what happened to those tapes.
