I came across this little jem during some personal research... The relevant link is here: Fast Acting Non Explosive Demolition Agent-Fast Acting Non Explosive Demolition Agent From Page 243 of the book-Demolition and Reuse of Concrete and Masonry By Erik K. Lauritzen, RILEM Technical Committee 121-DRG., Statens What is interesting is the technology has been around since 1979. So much for that audible explosive sound NIST needs to prove a CD of WTC 7. Thoughts or comments?? |

Thanks for the paper, swingdangler. Well on first glance, I see two issues. It's seems to be very sensitive to elevated temperatures. Secondly, if I read it correctly, it's really only suitable for breaking up natural stone or concrete. An interesting adaptation that might work. And this would be slow laborious work. Is create blister bombs. Okay, after you stop laughing, the thought has it, that you trap this 'bomb', using the strongest cradle necessary. This heat protected cradle (blister), would be 'married' to selected columns. The cradle would have to fulfill two requirements. It would have to be strong enough to withstand the explosion longer than it's host. And it would have to protect it's contents from untenable temperature changes. Add in good wi-fi digital contact with a controller in a nearby building, and, as I believe Mark Loizeaux said in a video once, you can make a building dance anyway you want. Just a thought. MM |
