Here's the NIST graphic representation of fire movement on the 12th floor.![]() By 5:00 p.m., it's obvious that even NIST's computer simulation is showing a decline in fire activity in the critical northeast corner around column 79 (upper right). Serious, high temperature fire in this area of the 12th floor was a prerequisite for causing the 13th floor failure of column 79, as concluded by the NIST. MM, please note that you are comparing the video frame with NIST's 'no external damage' scenario. When you look for their simulation of the scenario with external damage you'll notice that they don't show anything above the 24th floor and they don't show the north side (now why would that be?).
