I think he's largely correct. His position is that, although the economic institutions offered loans to those with no hope of paying, those Americans who took advantage of those loans are at least as responsible. "Noone is ever forced to take out a bad loan they can never repay. To some extent the American people are responsible for the crisis they are currently in." Couldn't agree more. |

Which is fine. However, making blanket statements like "Americans are at fault" etc... are where we derive words like rasicm, sexism, etc from. It is just poor practice. I would not be as offended if he would have said "Some Americans are to blame". I.E. Phil Graham, Alan Greenspan, George Bush. |
