Why is Mike Huckabee currently getting 20 thousand more votes than Ron Paul in florida ? can someone tell me where the justice in that is ? the guy may be good at one liners but he's a talking points blower who knows jack shit about foreign policy and he is now even stealing ron Pauls platform IE aboloshing the IRS, the guys a lightweight compared to ron paul.

I'm sorry to say this but Americans are dumb (thats rich coming from someone who lives in a country where Blair was elected 3 times, i know) .... but i mean John McCain FFS ? the guys a pasty faced loony, Mitt Romney is a complete fake trying to buy the nomination and Ghoulini is an out right creepy crook.

he gets television time and he's funny...

people vote for him because they think he is an "outsider" when actually all he does is quote George W. Bush and kiss his ring finger.

I feel very strongly that the candidate we could expect to be most like Bush is Huckabee.

He's propping up his cult of personality and one-liners, while Ron Paul is still talking about what matters, the documents that formed this nation, like the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

This is just a wild guess, but i think ANY Southern Baptist preacher would be vastly more popular among those crazy Florida republicants than would an antiwar, anti-imperialism, anti-Neocon candidate like Ron Paul. Also, Huckabee has a friendly demeanor and has taken much better advantage than Paul of the (relatively) small amount of MSM coverage he's received. Ron Paul is, in one word, cranky (not that he shouldn't be) ... but that doesn't play well in a presidential election.

If only presidential elections were about ideas, but they are not. They are essentially about abstractions - likeability, electability, vague yammering about "change" and "bipartisanship", etc etc. It's really not worth getting ulcers over --- learn how the game is played, sit back and enjoy the show, because that's all it is.

Huckabee has been kept alive by his constant TV appearances and that early win, if he'd have been treated like Ron Paul he;d have dropped weeks ago, he's on life support, the TV networks have completely blacked Ron Paul out.

Ron Paul cranky? Yea right. He barely ever complains about his lack of fair coverage. He is beginning to complain though, Like he did on MTV the other night, where he won all of the polls hands down, and had the best responses.
