I think were all familiar with Val Plumes photo of the Flight 93 crash? If not... http://i33.tinypic.com/zoht0l.jpg So here's that Spainair crash 1 or 2 months ago. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5dJIdEkowt4 Isn't it similar? Edit by JFK - That pic has a copyright and may not be displayed here, Sorry. Edited by JFK, Sep 19 2008, 10:26 AM.

It is similar, and it shows that a plane not going straight down into the ground can cause a mushroom cloud that goes straight up. However the one thing that confuses me is the light gray smoke of the "end of serenity" photo, this video and others I have seen of plane crashes, is always a much darker, almost black smoke, which is usually the signature of jet fuel combustion. As with many others I am also confused on the position of the cloud in the photo too as it apparently is not in line with the crash site according to many things I have read. I was actually planning on stopping at Shanksville on a road trip that I'll be going on to visit a friend of mine in West Virginia and this was one of the things I was going to try to see for myself, there's a road that goes right in front of that lady's house where the picture was taken. |
