The guy that made that movie "Money Masters" doesn't think its a good idea to break up the Fed either. He says a gold standard would be horrible. I dunno...my brain has a hard time wrapping itself around the monetary policy. |

the only problem I could foresee is that there are many more consumers now days than when we used to back with gold. we could balance this shortage of gold by only using a small amount of gold to back each dollar. even if each dolar isn't worth MUCH gold, it should still be backed by it because gold is solid and cannot be created out of thin air. |
