well, keep those iraqis infuriated! that's all the motive behind this decision.

for germans, 1954 was an inner revolution, when the soccer team won the world cup.
surely that took a lot of tension and aggression out of those people.

now that Iraq is 'liberated', sport could be a way for the people's mind to forget about
issues, to be distracted from the mess.

but no.

let's not make them feel good. as long as they don't feel good, there will be angry people
with a cause, and as long as those are there, there will be daily attacks in the whole country,
and that will keep the western military busy with a cause :unsure:

congratulations, even sport is a matter of politics :roll:
