Colin Scoggins was the military coordinator at Boston Center on 9/11. He's a critical witness, and therefore I was excited when I learned that he gave an online interview: http://911guide.googlepages.com/cs But the link is dead. How disappointing. The owner of the site - his nickname is "ref" or "ref1", he uses to post at the JREF forum and here, too - doesn't say why and promises that it will be back soon. Hey ref - when will the interview be back on, and why did you take it off? |

wouldn't worry too much about it, ref is fairly cordial and legit. It will be back on. He's probably editing something small. |

hey woody - im not sure if the scoggins' interview was taken down for the same (alleged) reason, but it is a plausible possibility. |

Thanks for the link, 22205. I don't understand why Scoggins keeps his pseudonym here. From "cheap shot"'s postings at the JREF forum it's clear for everyone familiar with the 9/11 report that he is in fact Colin Scoggins. I've spotted a posting of ref over at the JREF's that the reason he pulled the interview was the book "Touching History" by Lynn Spencer. As the book is out now, he promised to reestablish the interview soon. So let's see. I think I need to buy this book. The funny thing is - I detected a misinformation in the book the very first time I got in touch with it. It concerns SCATANA - NORAD's scary takeover of the FAA. Spencer writes it was issued at 11:30. But there can be no doubt that it was already issued at 9:40 and triggered the FAA order to get all commercial aircraft down. More here: http://s1.zetaboards.com/LooseChangeForums/topic/419185/1/#new This makes me hope that the book contains more interesting misinformation |

That is correct. I will wait one more month before putting it online again, so it will be back in late August. Edited by ref, Jul 20 2008, 02:47 AM.

ref is a god guy. Here's an off the wall insight. Colin Scoggins is "Cheap Shot" at JREF. The reason he either picked that nic or it was given to him at work is because when you're an FAA ATC you always have to end landline transmissions with your operating initials. Usually they are the first inititials of your first and last name. So, he had to end his calls with "CS" or "Charlie Sierra", depending on how anal the facility was about it. Everyone I knew always got a nic assigned to them based on their operating initials. Cheap Shot is a pretty good one... |
