Man arrested for scaling NY Times building
Wednesday, July 09, 2008 | 12:51 PM

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A man scaled the side of The New York Times' 52-story headquarters early Wednesday morning, becoming the third person to do so in a span of a few weeks, the police said.

The climber made it to the 11th floor of the building in midtown Manhattan before descending to a lower floor and spending hours hanging out, making cell phone calls and talking to police before he was arrested about 5:30 a.m., police said.

The man has been identified as 29-year-old David Malone of West Hartford.

Malone is charged with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, making graffiti, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

He will be arraigned later today in Manhattan Criminal Court.

At one point, the climber unfurled a banner on the "T" of the Times' sign that referenced Al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, the Times reported on its Web site Wednesday.

Dozens of police and firefighters responded about 1:30 a.m.

after the man was first spotted climbing the building, police said.

Streets were closed off and an inflatable cushion was placed in front of the main entrance of the building.

The Daily News reported on its Web site Wednesday that it had received a call from a man identifying himself as the climber who said he was a 29-year-old college dropout from Connecticut. Police did not immediately confirm those reports.

A spokeswoman for the Times, Catherine Mathis, says modifications were made to the building and additional security was added after two climbers managed to scale the building June 5.

She said the company was investigating how the most recent climber was able to overcome the additional obstacles.

NY Times climber identifies himself:

Eyewitness News is told the man who climbed the New York Times building identified himself as 29-year-old David Malone, who runs a web site dedicated to defeating Osama Bin Laden.

Officials say Malone's "Bin Laden's Plan" web site warns against Al Qaeda's "crusader baiting" and the terror group's "intentional provocation of the U.S." He states the United States must "know your enemy."

Malone, who claims he "predicted the 9/11 attack," states that "Al Qaeda primarily seeks to provoke the U.S. invasion of Iran."

"The only way to defeat Al Qaeda and its global Islamist insurgency is to inspire its supporters to turn against this apocalyptic cult," he writes.

A sign he hung on the side of the building reportedly featured a picture of terror kingpin Osama Bin Laden holding President Bush like a puppet with the words "Bin Laden's Plan."

Malone claims he was forced to climb the building to garner attention to his Al Qaeda plan. He picked the middle of the night to minimize disruption of the peace.

Malone, from Connecticut, dropped out of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1995 to study Al Qaeda.

He said he learned how to scale the Times Building from reading the newspaper's own stories about the two previous climbs.

He reportedly made numerous calls while on the building, including three calls to the Daily News, speaking in what a reporter said was "a calm monotone voice about Al Qaeda, what he said was its attempt to influence the American political process and get Republican John McCain elected, and U.S. energy policy."

At one point, Sgt. Hassiem Michel of the NYPD Hostage Negotiation Team spoke by phone with Malone.

Think about it though, he's right, Bin Laden has the neo-cons dancing to his tune, the 9/11 attack was Bin Ladens final attempt to suck US troops into the middle east and bog them down in costly and bloody quagmires, he got a huge bonus when the neo-crazies decided to invade Iraq. And Bin laden and co DOES want the US to hit Iran. The whole objective of the 9/11 attacks was to slap the US in the face and suck US troops into the region, thus galvanizing his forces, since the "war on terror" began and the Bush admins response to 9/11 al qeada's ranks have swollen from what they were prior to it

no, the NWO elite have the US by the balls, not Bin Laden. Isn't it strange to you that Osama, the Fed, Bush, McCain, and just about everyone else wants to destroy America?

Don't you think this coincidence should be considered kind of strange?

If I had to say who the puppetmasters are, it's the NWO cultists. They control the terror groups, with the help of the USA, and in order to have a one world government, they need the US and it's tradition of democracy, out of the way.

Does Al-Qaeda want to destroy AMerica? You bet.

But that doesn't mean that they are the only ones.

THink about it. If you and an enemy share another enemy, you are considered allies, are you not?

If one faction of the NWO wants to destroy America, but they disagree with another faction on other things, they can still agree on that one point, and work together. Then perhaps the factions will war after democracy is totally defeated.

But Bush and Bin Laden (which is not the only connection here) are not enemies. They practically grew up together.

It's not that the US is evil. It's that the US has been hijacked and infiltrated by evil. Totally different.

Sorry, I just don't buy it.

Long before 9/11 gwb had already let slip that he was after Bin Laden.

We know the oil connection with the Bush family. We know that junior is a puppet who can't remember his lines, but Bin Laden's puppet?

how 'bout, they are both puppets? people always leave out that alternative.

nevermind that this explanation makes the most sense.

people tend to cling to blaming a person whom they can actually see and name. what if the ones in control aren't the ones we see on TV every day?

Peter bergen wrote a good piece in theIndependent the other week, it had a interesting quote from Bin laden in it-

Quote:

Benotman says that Bin Laden tried to placate him with a promise: "I have one more operation, and after that I will quit" – an apparent reference to 11 September. "I can't call this one back because that would demoralise the whole organisation," Benotman remembers Bin Laden saying.

Bin Ladens organization was on it's last legs prior to 9/11, The neo-cons response to 9/11 revived it from the dead, 9/11 was Bin ladens final throw of the dice, I doubt he thought that his plan to suck US troops into the Afghan trap would work, but it did, and the neo-crazies gave him the added bonus of the war on Iraq, which has given Bin laden a major victory in winning new recruits for his cause, but it seems that once again, al qeadas brutal tactics are turning people off because Al Qeada targets muslims as well as westerners, Bin laden could do with another help in hand from the neo-nasties, bombing Iran would help him immensely, will the Bush crazies come to his aid again ? .... Bin laden could stage a false flag of his own, if he attacks and somehow manages to insert an Iranian angle to it, the neo-cons would jump on it and use it as justification for Irans annihilation, something the neo-cons have wet dreams about, when you think about it, the Neo-con-crazies and Bin laden have been very helpful towards each other, both have/had the same aims, getting US troops into multiple wars in the middle east.

BIN LADEN'S PLAN by David Malone
Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I thought that was Tricky Dick Cheney's job, pulling Dubya's strings and making him dance around like a fool.
Why is David Malone so desperate to keep Osama alive? Is Malone a disinfo agent for the Bush Regime?
Usama bin Laden has been dead now for over six years, and besides he had nothing to do with 9-11.
The Bush Regime did 9-11 with all the 'hijackers' with the stolen identities as the patsies and Dubya hiding out in Florida behind some black kids.

Good propaganda piece there Reggie; but it is just BS. Usama was dead and rotting away in his hell (grave) long ago (December 2001 or perhaps even earlier).
The NeoCON crazies don't need a resurrected Osama bin Laden (al-CIA-da name Tim Osman) to attack Iran. They don't even need any actual facts.
All they need is the prostitute MSM and the boob tube addicted American public who just like you will believe just about anything their masters tell them.

Thats not Bin Laden with Brezinzski, that guy is a pakistani.

And just because i don't think 9/11 was an inside job from top to bottom, remote control planes/CGI bin laden tapes etc, doesn't mean i buy everything the government says, far from it, they've told lots of verifiable lies, enough to put them in prison for a long time, there is an in-between you know, it not just a case of, "Oh you don't believe 9/11 was an total inside job therefore you believe everything else they say", i just don't believe every little bit of speculation and of the 9/11 truth movement, that doesn't make me a Bush sycophant.
