I've been wondering about this for quite awhile but, is it possible that detonation charges are set in buildings that should an incident occur that may endanger more lives, a building can be "pulled" in order to prevent neighboring property damage as well as further loss of life? I mean, we're talking about millions of dollars in property damage, possible lawsuits, etc. I'll be the first to admit that the idea sounds outlandish but I can see a logic to it. No. First, Skyscrappers aren't suppose to fail, even if there is a big fire. Second, the added expensive and danger to rig buildings in such a way, just wouldn't be worth it for something that is unlikely to happen. Third, explosives deteriorate and go bad over time, so even if you rigged a building when it was built, the system would not be reliable for very long. |
