Why would we need more oil. We have already a lot of oil being produced elsewhere. About the drugs. The US government would not knock down is' two tallest buildings and kill three people to get drugs. We already have enough.
The Truth, you are missing the underlying facts. Both the Oil and Drugs are not really about oil and drugs in the manner you convey. It is about control, power, and money. The oil and drugs is simply a means to that end. I see your point. However invading Afganistan would not help us achieve that power. We show nothing by beating a bunch of illiterate cave dwelling moles. Iraq was supposed to show force in the region. However we had over estimated the strength of Saddams army again. If we wanted more troops in the region in 2001 just for the sake of power and money we would have either invade a stronger country like pakistan our place much more troops in Kuwait.

As Ray McGovern said, the Iraq war is about Oil-
Oil Israel Logistics
9/11, helped build a climate of fear which the neo-cons used to sell a war on Iraq, even though the attacks didn't have a Iraqi hand involved, and was actually carried out by 15 Saudis and a couple of Egyptians, two countries that are "friendly alleys" with the US, but also which are also brutal dictatorships propped up by the US.
Thats why i say if 9/11 was an inside job from top to bottom, they would have almost CERTAINLY inserted a Iraqi angle, the neo-cons were obsessed with Saddam, lets face it, it was a real attack and the disgusting politicians in the US and other western governments have hijacked the catastrophe to push through there agendas, it;s possible they knew it was coming and turned a blind eye, and the dancing Israelis" angle needs much more exposure

Why was it all about oil? Oil/Israel and logistics, there has never been a more pro zionist president than George Bush in the history of the US, look at his administration, it's littered with staunchly pro Israel individuals, they saw over throwing Saddam as key to protecting Israel, 9/11 gave them the opportunity to feed off the fear which was created and they sold the war on the back of it, the neo-cons loved 9/11, they got the opportunity to dust off there foreign policy and implement it, a policy they believe is beneficial to Israel, which is in the words of arch neo-con Micheal ledeen, to "turn the region into a cauldron".
It goes without saying that oil was also another major reason for the invasion, Bush and co are owned by big oil, anyone who can't see that oil played a major role just isn't paying attention.

Yes Iraq had oil. Afaganistan does not. Unlike Iraq Afaganistan had terrorists in it. The invasion of Afaganistan was for the right reasons. What would you do if you were the president and your country was just attacked. You would find who attacked your country and fight them.
By what definition did Afghanistan have terrorists in it? Before 9/11 the US government was actively helping the Taliban. The Americans were also biding for a contract to run a gas pipe through the country, they needed the Taliban to stabilize the country.

What were those reasons? Are you not aware that America had planes to invade Afghanistan prior to 9/11? Dunne and Schmidt (2005) suggest that the US government is stronger in terms of its national and global dominance as a result of the 9/11 attacks. Following the attacks the US gained the political and public support to first invade Afghanistan and then Iraq. The presence and control of these two countries alone has increased America’s power and security. Afghanistan is a link to Caspian gas supplies and Iraq is the world’s second largest resource of crude oil. This style of foreign policy confirms to Mearsheimer’s theory of ‘offensive realism’ in which a single state strives to be a hegemon in a particular region (Jackson and Sorenson 2007 pg 86-88). Furthermore, there is a body of evidence that suggests, that the US had planned to invade Afghanistan before the attacks against New York and Virginia had even materialised. Rashid (2002) argues that when it became apparent that the Taliban could not safeguard the building of a UNOCAL pipeline through Afghanistan, plans were drawn up by the US for military intervention. He adds that prior to 9/11 it is a matter of fact that US and British forces were already in a position to invade Afghanistan.

Okay lets look at the Iraq threat. What threat. Iraq was not threatening Israel. Israel if she wanted to could have conquered and occupy Iraq just as easily as we could. Kuwait could have beaten Iraq in 2003. If we wanted to protect Israel we would have invaded Iran in 2003. The US government causing 9-11 is just impractical. We lost much more then we gained from it.

The Truth, your understanding and definitions of "us" and "them" is very skewed. You are failing to realize that the CIA and al-qaeda worked very closely together for a long time, and like manythings with intelligence agencies, we do not know exactly when they supposedly stopped working together, or if they ever did.
the "us" you speak of could be mixed with the "them" you also speak of.
the world isn't quite as black and white as you are describing.

You attempt to justify your initial statement is ridiculous. Are you now saying that the Afghan leadership who managed to pull off 9/11 were illiterate but not the general public were not?

19m30secs, Dept Chief of NYFD Peter Haydon says, "We had a discussion with one particular engineer there, and we asked him, if we allowed it to burn could we anticipate a collapse and if so how soon? And it turned out that he was pretty much right on the money and he said in it's current state you have about 5 hours"
This seems odd given that the official hypothesis has at best a low probability. NIST should have talked to this engineer.

NIST should have talked to this engineer. this is where it gets tricky. we generally DON'T accuse the firefighters and others present on the scene, but the fact remains that someone on or near the scene must have been conveying this info to those on the ground.
hopefully this debacle of a documentary will help us sort out exactly who this info came from. if someone speaks up and says, "Yep it was me who made the determination that it would collapse by means of fire", I'd say we can certainly be very suspicious of that person.
The firefighters, like everyone else, were simply victims of this conspiracy, not perpetrators.

Hess gave an interview on the street at 11:34.
edit - it was Michael Hess (Jennings companion in wtc7) who gave the interview at 11:34 (not jennings)

I find this claim by Haydon to be suspicious. It begs the question, why did the BBC not talk to the engineer, and ask him to explain why he thought the building would collapse in about 5 hours. My assumption is that the engineer in question does not exist. I suspect Haydon, a senior firefighter, has been coerced. That is not to say he is "in on it" merely that he is playing ball, perhaps with the best intentions.
