Never had much reason to love Idaho before (though I do love potatoes). I'm sure people will say they are deluded, but that's solid support. Maybe it's because they are away from all of the limelight of the "American Dream" and have a logical grasp on what's happening globally. |

I suspect its because it's easier to reach a large portion of the population since the population is small. One or two ron paul supporters could very easily overcome the coporate media's influence by just going door to door... while in some states, going door to door would take centuries. we had a few counties here in michigan where you could tell that some supporters really got the message out, and we had high percentages in those counties... I think one was 17% for ron paul. Lapeer county if I remember correctly. |

Hmmm....here goes a rant. This isn't directed at you. I shake my head when people automatically have this totally out-of-the-blue stereotype on Idaho people. They act as if we live in huts, and drive around in horse and buggys. Take this for example: I went to New York last year, and several times I got slapped with this ridiculous Idaho stereotype. More ironically, this lady asked me if we had TV in Idaho. This stunned me. Why? Because TV was invented in Idaho. In reality, Idaho is just like every other state. The reason RP scored big was because of a massive campaign that took place in Idaho Falls, where every corner has a Ron Paul sign. He also is one of the few candidates to visit Idaho, Ron and Obama were the only ones. So next time somebody says Idaho is still in the stone age, do me a favor and refute them. It should also be noted that Idaho is the birthplace of the anti-vaccine campaign: http://www.vaclib.org/ and was also a major starting point of the truth movement, and the website 911readingroom.com is based in Idaho: http://www.911readingroom.org/ Therefore, it does not surprise me of the turnout for Paul.
