OK, the 7th edition ( 1999 ) of Blacks Law Dictionary defines "reasonable doubt" as :![]() Is this the reason why he is NOT listed on the FBI website for the crimes involved in the events of 911 ? If not, why not ? Or have you skeptics presumed him guilty from the beginning ? ( note: this question has nothing to do with his other offenses and is meant to deal soley with the events of 9/11 ) Edit to add : ![]() and

Both the Department of Justice and FBI have stated there is not enough evidence to charge OBL with being behind 9/11. |

This is an interesting topic and it is a pity it wasn't picked up. It is clear that there is little direct evidence of OBL's involvement in 9/11 despite his admission. However, I think it is unreasonable to expect to find a positive link. I quoted before the cases of Al Capone and no direct evidence linking him to the St Valentine's Day massacre and Hitler with no direct connection to the holocaust. If a bar was smashed up tonight in New York on the orders of some mafia godfather would anybody reasonably expect there to be any evidence of the boss's involvement. I think the most significant downside to the actions of the truther movement is to misdirect attention away from the real enemy. It is a double victory for terrorism in that they can inflict terrible casualties but some people still blame their own government. In the west, in recent years, we have had the 1993 bombing of the WTC. The 1995 bombing of the Paris Metro, the 2001 attacks on the WTC and Pentagon etc, the 2004 bombings of the Madrid trains, the 2005 bombings of London Transport. There have been other attacks in other parts of the world and there are daily suicide bombings in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. So, I ask myself, are these multiple governments attacking their own citizens or are the attacks the responsibility of the terrorists who are self-evidently involved. |

Its so sad that most of the people that still belive the official story are just going by what they have been told by the media and not doing any research to find out what really happened. Also most of the real evidence and official FBI/NSB reports have not been released. So when they say the know what happened they are being very dishonest. People that still believe the official story are also being very disrespecful to the people that died that day by not wanting to know or find out what really happened that day. According to FBI Director Robert Mueller: "The hijackers also left no paper trail. In our investigation, we have not uncovered a single piece of paper – either here in the U.S. or in the treasure trove of information that has turned up in Afghanistan and elsewhere – that mentioned any aspect of the September 11th plot. The hijackers had no computers, no laptops, no storage media of any kind." FBI Website In other words, there is zero evidence that bin Laden had anything to do with 9/11. |

For all those that maintain the US government faked crash sites, demolitions, telephone calls, personal documents, flight data recorders, cockpit voice recorders, planes etc etc. Does it not seem strange that they never got around to framing the fall-guy OBL ? |

Do you not find it strange that there is more evidence pointing to elements within our own government than Bin Laden ? So Alfie, exactly what prompted the US to invade and topple two sovereign countries if there was no evidence that Bin Laden was to blame ? That should be a relevant question for you also as your countries troops have also suffered losses in the past 8 years. Or do you not care that they died in the name of a lie ? osama bin laden was not the reason given for invasion of Iraq. The reason was that Iraq had repeatedly failed to comply with u.n. resolution 1441, that is they still maintained a banned weopons programme and that they had weapons of mass destruction(allegedly) |

Perhaps, but had Bin Laden not been unjustifyably implicated in the events of 9/11 the support which the invasion of Iraq required would not have been there, hence ithe war would not have begun. Shall I scour youtube for Bush's selling points for the invasion of Iraq to show you what I mean ? |

JFK I don't accept that there is more evidence implicating elements of your government in 911 than OBL. In fact, I don't accept that there is evidence implicating elements of your government at all. I have never understood 911 being put forward as a contrived cause for war. It makes no sense to me. The 19 hi-jackers were 15 Saudi Arabians, 2 United Arab Emirates, 1 Egyptian, 1 Lebanese and there was not a shred of a link to Iraq. If the US administration at the time was so adept at faking stuff why not fake some links to Saddam Hussein and dump some wmd in Iraq. The link was to Al Qaida and terrorist training camps in Afghanistan which required a diversion of attention away from Iraq to satisfy public anger at home. If any British troops have died for a lie it was to do with the alleged wmd that Saddam Hussein was supposed to be developing; and nothing to do with 911. |

Bush is asked what did Iraq have to do with 911? by a reporter/journalist, to which he replied "nothing". I cannot speak for press coverage/news programmes in America leading up to the war in Iraq but i can assure you at no time was Bin Laden or 911 given as reasons to the UK citizens for the war in Iraq. |

Does that not show a desire by the Bush Administration to justify the invasion of Iraq because of a 9/11 connection? Bush further emphasizes his 9/11-Iraq point a few seconds later.
Without wmd, Bush was still selling the message that 9/11 provided sufficient argument to justify the invasion of Iraq. MM |

As far as WMDs, 1. The soldiers did find hidden and buried Russian MIG aircraft that had banned equipment on them. 2. Also defectors have told about WMDs being taken and hidden in Syria. |
