I really get frustrated when I hear people shutting down intelligent discussions regarding 911 and calling truthers nuts . I would love to see a way to have a poll, video testimony, or some other way of listing all persons who denounce and discredit the truth movement. And when the truth is revealed find a way that these persons are held accountable for restricting and slowing the process. An apology and financial fines to be made. Another example would be persons in the limelight such as media, entertainment etc. would lose their right to continue in their positions. Just a few of the persons that come to my mind are: Bill O'Riely, Sean Hannity, Glen Beck, Bill Mahr, Ann Coulter, Geraldo, numerous country western singers, and so on and so on well you know what I mean. If nothing else I would love to see the total masses just turn on them and ruin their lives unless than can find some way of gaining our forgiveness.
I hope others feel the same as I do. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Michael in Switzerland

I don't see how that is a constructive way to think. At all. What would Ghandi say?
I guess if it's people in paid positions that influence public opinion, it is more the entire machine that is at fault, rather than the individuals which act as the public face.

Hello Michael,

As much as I hate, and loathe the talking heads that you mention, and what they symbolize, I fully support their right to freedom of speech. And in regards to censoring/controlling musical artists and their product, that has been tried before here with the results always being that the American people DO NOT want to censor or control music and it's content.

You want to hurt people like the O'reilly's and Hannity's of the world, the best way is to affect their ratings. They are entertainers who are on the air because enough people listen to them to make their shows profitable. Get people to stop watching their shows, and buying their books, and you hurt them where it counts-their money.

Freedom of speech is not a selective right, we all have it, and you cannot pick and choose who has that right. As far as "ruining their lives", I fail to see how this vague suggestion would advance the cause of 9/11 Truth. You want them to apologize, why would you want them to apologize when we all know it would not be sincere? The words mean nothing if they don't actually feel sorry. And imposing fines against media figures who we don't like is not going to happen.

Hit them with low ratings which end up getting their shows cancelled, and persuade people to stop buying their products. It's all about money, and without profit, they wither on the vine and fall into obscurity.

Everyone has a right to free speech, they just don't have a right to call it 'news' or to use the public airwaves to broadcast their hate and lies.

If you are delivering news, you have a responsibility to make sure what you are calling 'news' is true, to the best of your knowledge.

I agree. Unfortunately the line that divides the true legitimate news from entertainment and pure propaganda does not exist in the MSM. Lies that slander, incite, and damage, certainly do not fall under freedom of speech. Those who spread these kind of lies absolutely should be punished for their actions. In regards to hate, you can't stop people from having hatred. And yes, journalists should always verify as fact, that which they report. But agenda driven news organizations and personalities rarely do that.

If the lies and hatred do not incite violence, become slanderous, or meet some other legal definition of prohibited speech, they do have a right to tell as many lies and hate as many people as they want. It sucks, but that's the flip side of the freedom of speech coin.
