Like my topic title says, I am the new guy here. 8 years after the fact. I remember watching those towers fall on TV. We had tower 2, then tower 1 then tower 7 and between it all, tower 6 pretty much disappeared, down to the sub floors, no one ever talks about that (seldom) My background is heavy in structural steel. My start was at a toddler's age, watching from my fenced yard across the street from a foundry. I remember burning the pads off my feet walking in molten hot sand. That hurt! I was a neighbor and the pop machine inside the middle of the foundry gave me a sort of licence to go inside and watch the men work. I know what molten steel does and at what temperature it does what. I weld, I can run a cutting torch, and I own equipment to do construction in steel. Steel, concrete, and office furnishings do not operate the way they did on 9/11. One famous Internet paper proclaims: Muslims Suspends the laws of physics. Boy is that the truth! No skyscraper building with a volume of a small city can just come to an end and lay down at free fall speed with the fire load of an airplane with jet fuel inside burning office furnishings in a fire rated high rise in New York City. It is just not possible. And we do not have this failure one time, we have it several times that day, and two of the buildings did not get hit by a plane. Building 6 was the smallest building, and it pretty much vaporized down to the sub basements. No explanation what happened to it from official sources that I am aware of. This needs to be investigated to the smallest degree. Likewise building 7 has no real official story. It was no more than a footnote in the official findings. Building 1 & 2 are the real heart of the issue: How does 2 planes take out 220 stories of the largest office buildings built at that time? & how did they take them out in 9 seconds each? Carpet, desks, chairs, millions of pounds of drywall, all broken down to micron sized particles. Not to mention the same thing happening to all the concrete and the steel breaking into truck hauling sized pieces in many cases. This week Charlie Sheen issued a letter to Obama asking him to answer 20 questions? I think 20 questions are too many. The only question we need answered is: WHY? The same spirit that killed over 600,000 men in our civil war 150 years ago, rages on in our world Governments today. To someone inside the power circle, people are little more than pawns in some strange war that is always playing where it is them against us. Frankly, I am sick to death of the times in our nations history where we kill people off like flies that get in the way. Civil War WWI Pearl Harbor WWII Korea Vietnam JFK Bobby Kennedy MLK 9/11 All the current middle east wars The spirit in our Government that acts out against our people and other peoples of the world frightens me to the core, and I have no control over what it does to my fellow citizens. I fear for our future, and I have no good news about any change in our futures for our young people. I always cry at 9/11 presentations on TV. Today was too much for me, so I left the TV off. My loss. If prayer does anything, I I hope the general conciseness does exist, may we all hope and pray we some day get control of things for the side of good. I do not want to live on a planet where one life form is always sizing up another life form, to see if it would make a good meal. Edited by AR10, Sep 11 2009, 07:06 PM.

Hey, AR10. We'll be fine. We'll get there. It's necessary in times like this to find methods so that the situation does not determine our emotional states, I think. I recommend getting rid of that TV. You got it. Let's take some actions on it too. That should do it, I'd say. |

hey AR10, welcome to the forum of the forums  in contrast to my previous poster, I totally agree with you that mankind is doomed, and that things won't get better. we humans are a virus to this planet, though I guess every honorable virus in the world would feel quite offended hearing my quote  just yesterday I thought about an idea on how to combine astronomy with misanthropism: I'd need the space organizations of the world to build a spacecraft that would be able to house me; it would need a good computer with a fast internet connection (intersolar networking grids would have to be upgraded..), and all the scientific equipment they'd want me to conduct experiments with or just supervise.. but foremost, I'd ask for a lifelong supply of hash and weed. after all, I'm on a non-return mission into deep space, it's gonna be boring without the internet and ganja... but just imagine living in a space capsule, living your life, waking up in the morning, checking out new topics on this forum, and rolling a spliff to stately celebrate passing Mars/Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus/Neptune/Pluto..I'd be happy to whore myself for science, if that were the outcome  apart from that, don't give up on the forum, AR10, for it works like life itself: if you expect bad things, bad things you get.. if you smile and expect nothing, it'll reward you with goosebump-moments and seldom experiences of interhuman connection. I hope you're staying! Amsterdam sends its regards
