Greetings all; I new within minutes of the “attack” that something fowl was afoot and said “Well, there go our civil liberties and individual rights” – much to the chagrin and dismay of the other people in the room: a retired Army Colonel, a practicing nurse with her PhD in Future Studies, and my Godson who was a senior in college. These people were, at the time, incredulous at my comments but have since come to realize that my "flip judgment" about the events unfolding on the Sony were unfortunately quite correct. To quote an old [now dead] friend; "Being right is often of little comfort" Hope to become and stay better informed through this site / boards, etc. and contribute / participate when I have something to offer. Peaxe, S999 PS -hope I violated no rules by establishing a topic to post this, but for the life of me I couldn't locate anywhere to place a "Hi and Hello" entry without attaching it as a reply... apologies in advance...

Welcome siddartha999, No appologies are required as "Welcome Newcomers!" is the correct place for introductions.  Just out of curiousity, which area of the events of 9/11 are you most interested in ? |
