on a seperate but related note, i saw this the other day (less than a week ago):![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() those are at&t workers, picketting. one of the signs (that my cam didnt pick up legibly) said something about "job security". presumably, layoffs or lack of benefits was what these workers were taking issue with. on a different tip, on 9/11, a group of military personnel (armed soldiers) surrounded this at&t building, as if to guard something sensitive or major inside there. i always found that intriguing and strange. the place is a switchboard, from the adjacent building you can see all the wires and hardware (thru floors of see-thru windows). on the roof are 2 big satellite dishes. but i have never been able to come up with exactly what inside there, needed armored humvees and m16's to keep it safe... its is less than a mile from the pentagon, but that still doesnt sufficiently explain why armed guards literally surrounded the entire block around that building, by 10:15am on 9/11.
