With all the buzz of the "recession" going on, what should a person do to prepare for this?
Should I make paying off my car loan a priority?
I'm so thankful I'm renting cheap right now.

I bought some gold coins a while back, now I'm working on storable food and a gun. I'm not sure about paying off debt since you are paying it off with dollars that are becoming worthless.

regardless of the value of the dollar, it is good to owe fewer of them to institutions...

I sold my expensive car, and now I just have a mortgage and a cheap paid-off car.

I fear that Ron Paul was the only person who could have stopped this impending crisis. No one who didn't go out and vote for him can complain when the shit finally hits the fan.

I'm purchasing a t-shirt that says, "TOLD YA SO!" /sarcasm

Buy guns, ammo, some storable food, matches, water filter, etc...why not? Its good to have these things regardless of the so-called state of the economy...

I'd say keep doing what you've been doing. The more people that get spooked and stop spending, the more likely that we will enter a recession. I know everyone here hates the Fed, but I think they'll do their job and keep everything in order.

Like stealing from us and using the money to bail out millionaire investors who didn't research their investments well enough? No doubt they will. :(
