Persephone, The only daughter of the goddess Demeter. While Persephone was out picking flowers, a chasm opened revealing Pluto. He quickly pulled her into the underworld and made her his wife and Queen of the Lower World. Demeter scoured the land looking for her daughter and once she discovered what had occurred, she was grief-stricken. She wandered the land alone, bringing famine to the earth in her grief. The people called out to Zeus for assistance and he answered by ordering Hades to release Persephone. However she had already eaten a pomegranate seed. Having fed upon and drank from the goods of the underworld, she was obligated to spend a third of the year with Pluto. When winter came and earth was cold and barren is the time Persephone resides in the underworld and Demeter travels the earth yearning for her only daughter. At Persephone's release in the spring, the earth begins to grow flowers again. I can honestly say I do not believe it to be Persephone's fault, She did not will her kidnapping. Persephone did not have a choice as a Young and probably Naive girl. Does it show the mother Demeter was irresponsible for leaving her daughter Persephone alone? Perhaps, However I think the mother had believed her daughter Persephone would be safe. After all there is no reason for Pluto to Pick flowers. Unfortunately he found Persephone though. Demeter clearly cares and loves her daughter Persephone, to be searching for her. Edited by EthericEcstasy, Jan 25 2009, 11:23 PM.

Interesting story. You seem to be in tune with this arcane stuff and perhaps you can guide me a little because I feel puzzled by a number of things. Is this dome-goddess really Persephone, I understand that she looks East to the rising sun Horus on the Horizon and she is adorned with the pentacle stars of Venus-Lucifera-Isis so as "Freedom" she might be another representation of Liberty Venus-Lucifera-Isis the bearer of the sun-son god, Enlightening the World. In the Kaballah, 7-Netzach Venus is the seventh of the ten Sephiroth on the "Tree of Life." Its meaning in Hebrew is Victory. God form Egyptian: Hathoor Isis (Sister-wife of Osiris-Moon and mother of Horus her sun/son) Hindu: Bhavani, Lalita (sexual aspect of Sakti) the Universal Mother. Scandinavian: Freya, Frig (Friday goddess) Greek: Aphrodite, Nike (April Month goddess) Roman: Venus (Magic Square 175, as in UA175) (Venus Day, Vendredi, Friday goddess, Daleth) Sigils: 5 petal Rose and the Pentacle star Magical Weapons: The Lamp and Girdle My questions are do you understand this whole 7 X 11 = 77 Perfect Magick thing? I understand that Washington DC is on God’s Longitude 77 West (hence AA77) and Liberty-Isis in New York has a crown with 7-rays and she stands on a star with 11 points. Also how ancient do you think that the "Tree of Life" is, could there be different forms? Thelema have this apparently modern looking Tree of Life from 777 by Aleister Crowley. They show "wandering star" planet gods like Neptune, Pluto and Uranus. But these gods were not visible by the naked eye before telescopes so what is going on? The 7 visible gods were Saturn, Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus for the 7 days of the week. Only the 5 naked eye planets of Saturn, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Venus were visible surely, apart from the sun (Horus-Jesus) and moon (Jehovah, Baal, Osiris or Allah) gods. |

I honestly believe you are viewing too many conspiracy videos when trying to learn about religion. I advise not taking Michael Tsarion and David Icke seriously (especially David Icke). If you want facts I am going to suggest some non-conspiracy websites. I honestly believe you are viewing too many conspiracy videos when trying to learn about religion. Well I do take a "conspiratorial view of human history and religion" as well as being, as an atheist, anti all religious brainwashing. "There are two views of history: (1) History happens by accident or (2) It is planned. The general public is taught that history happens by accident. However, the upper echelons... know that history is planned." R.E. McMaster, Jr.---Educator I advise not taking Michael Tsarion and David Icke seriously (especially David Icke). Good advice I think and thanks for the links, I fear that David may be half way to completely losing his mind. |

We all have personal views when religion/spirituality is the topic. A balanced mind is good, not too closed and not too open. I read Greek myths, this does not mean I necessarily believe them, but rather it's of interest and it's fun.
Your Welcome.
You're correct to say that, not only is David Icke crazy but he does not present facts and gives real Ufologists and the topic of Ufology a bad name with his Reptilian conspiracy's. Edited by EthericEcstasy, Jan 27 2009, 02:10 AM.

I suspect that he really did have a weird mind-altering experience in South America that turned him into this apparently Shaman-like character perceiving weird forms of altered states of consciousness. I have no idea if he ever experimented with mild-altering chemicals during his life or not but a lot of what he talks about seems to sound pretty much like a bad trip to me (not that I have ever been there myself). The reptilian serpent idea is of course an ancient allegorical theme in religious jabbering, so perhaps the "modern sceptical mind" is taking what he says about "shape-shifting" rather too literally since science also talks of the reptilian base part of the primitive areas of the human brain. Charismatic leaders of religious cults do, I think, hypnotise their devoted followers by luring them into non-sensical belief systems on the basis that gods and spirits are literally non-sensical, so you can subsequently then say virtually anything non-sensical and get away with it. People who say Jesus was never alive as a genuine human, or ever walked on water, like the sun setting over the sea, are not really talking the same language as religious people with "faith" in the Horus-Jesus-dude as a real man-god and subsequent invisible super-ghost. It might superficially seem like they are communicating but my guess is that there is a great deal of mutual incomprehension, a fundamental failure of a meeting of minds, between people with religious "faith" and people with religious "scepticism". On 9/11 I fear that arcane-religion really did play a part in the event, but I rather doubt that the "religious fundamentalist terrorist lunatics" were 19-grumpy-suicidal-Muslims in search of disembodied virgins (what is the point of that?) who did it out of spitefulness cos they hate freedom. |
